After 21 years of living deep in the woods two hours west, I finally made the trip over to Millinocket to check out the culture—and I’m so glad I did. When I walked in, I was the only patron, yet I was greeted with a warm smile and impressive knowledge of the menu and brews. It’s rare to find a place where service holds the same standard during slow hours as it would at peak times, but this place nailed it. I ordered a pie and a session beer, which turned out to be one of the smoothest, most enjoyable pours I’ve had in a long while. Stepping out to the patio, I found myself surrounded by crickets and birdsong—a peaceful setting with picnic tables, a firepit, and even cornhole for when things pick up. Then came the pizza. Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for how good it would be. The presentation alone was professional, but the flavor, smoothness, and balance of it all made it easily the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. This brewery is a gem—beautiful building, thoughtful staff, and a team clearly passionate about what they’re doing. Cheers to them for creating such an amazing experience. I’ll be back, and I highly recommend making the trip.

Knife Edge Brewing and Pizza is an absolute gem for anyone who loves great food and craft beer. From the moment you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere and laid-back vibe set the tone for a perfect meal. Their pizza is truly outstanding — hand-tossed with a crispy, flavorful crust and topped with fresh, quality ingredients. Whether you go for a classic like pepperoni or one of their creative specialty pies, you won’t be disappointed. Each bite delivers that perfect balance of textures and flavors you hope for in a great pizza. Equally impressive is their lineup of house-brewed beers. From bold IPAs to smooth stouts and refreshing lagers, there’s something on tap for every taste. You can tell the brewers take pride in their craft, and it shows in every pour. The staff is knowledgeable about both the food and the brews, always ready with a recommendation to pair with your meal. It’s the kind of place where you can hang out with friends, enjoy a casual date night, or relax after a day of exploring the area. Excellent service, unbeatable pizza, and top-tier beers make Knife Edge Brewing a standout. I’ll definitely be back!

Wowiezowieee 😱AMAZING PIZZA!!!šŸ• I’m gluten free, but I was on vacation so…. I indulged & suffered the consequences later šŸ˜‚ I just had to try this pizza. The crust was great, yummy selection of specialty pizzas & they were a good size. The customer service was great too. They gave us recommendations & just seemed happy to be there. The atmosphere was super chill, granted it wasn’t a wkend, but it just seemed like a really fun place. High ceilings, small store with merch & large entry way & bathrooms. There’s also an outdoor seating area with activities & a view. We couldn’t see the mountain, as advertised, but who cares? It was cool either way. Thumbs up guys, you got it right!! P.s. They do have a GF option- but… if you know, you know. GF is not the same- IDK what you do to it.

Arrived at 530 pm for dinner with 3 other couples. Self-seating provided us with a table large enough to accommodate 8 people. Drinks and food are had by waiting in line to order from a single register. Average wait time in line is 25 minutes early in the evening, much longer after 7 pm. Beverages are served at time of order, and must be carried back to the table, there is no wait staff. The register operator seems to be pulling double duty, both taking orders and drawing beers. When a keg requires changing the line stops cold, as the register operator has to step away to perform this operation, there is no barback apparently. Food orders are put in a queue, and typically take 75-90 minutes from time of placing. An electronic fob is provided to alert one to the food readiness when done. The likelihood that food orders being ready at the same time for all dining in your group is nil, expect 20 to 30 minutes between each pickup alert, disturbing to say at the very least. You will most likely eat in shifts at your table, even if all the food is ordered at the same time, or consecutively in line, we had 3 consecutive orders that were ready 35 minutes apart. Salads prepared as part of an order typically sit prepared on the prep counter for some time, possibly for 35 minutes, or more, as pizzas are prepared and cooked in the wood fired oven. I noted our salad sitting on the counter for at least 30 minutes, but was able to retrieve it from the pickup area and eat it while awaiting our pizza, though that took another 35 minutes. A shortage of staff is readily apparent, there is only one person stretching pizza dough, so expect your order to be backed up for an hour or more. A separate register is not always available for beverages, so expect to wait 25 minutes in line to get a second beverage. Water and plastic cups are available at no charge at a self service station separate from the food and beverage order line, a plus. The food is good, not great, and the long waits in line diminish the gathering/dining experience, so enjoy conversing within your group when seated. Live entertainment is provided on some nights, and the accompanying crowds only increase the wait times, as well as the noise level. The open dining hall layout only serves to increase the noise levels, and conversation around the table can be very difficult to participate in, limiting the overall discussion experience. The room temperature in the large open facility seems to be difficult to maintain at a comfortable level. Not sure what measures are in place near the food preparation area to facilitate the removal of heat from the pizza oven. Expect room temps to rise as more people arrive. Overall, the experience is dependent upon the company with whom you share your meal. The facility and wait times, exacerbated by the short staffing, only serve to diminish the experience. There is certainly much to be desired, but increasing the efficiency of operation through the addition of staff at the registers and food preparation areas, could markedly improve the overall enjoyment, it is a very nice gathering spot, after all. If you choose to dine here, be prepared to spend 2-3 hours. Expect to spend 45 minutes of that time away from your group waiting in line for beverages and food. You could consider an alternative facility to improve your group dining experience, there are others available in the region, and they might offer a better experience given the effort required of members of your group to obtain food and bevarages. Certainly not the fault of the staff, they appear to be overloaded, and often overwhelmed, especially at the register. I expect to visit this establishment again. After all, reviews can often facilitate improvement in areas of operations, and this venue needs only minor changes in staffing to better the overall...

We have a camp nearby and have been here several times. In he summer we have enjoyed meals with our sons/ grandchildren and in winter my husband stops by for coffee and a snack while cross country skiing. While I know it can get very busy with escalated wait times, we have not experienced this as we tend to come on slower days of the week (not the weekend). The food has always been delicious- great pizza and wings, cheesy bread is awesome too. While we don’t drink, my sons have enjoyed the beer. The atmosphere is great- we enjoyed playing corn hole outside while waiting for our pizza on our most recent visit and have enjoyed live music in the past. Staff has always been pleasant and efficient. After eating dinner here a few nights ago, my granddaughter wanted to stop here again for a post-rafting snack with her Dad. Unfortunately, when they came out to leave, they noticed they had a flat tire. As my son began to change the tire to his temporary spare, a kind gentleman offered his help. He went back to his house, got a plug kit and plugged the tire, allowing them to return to camp with less chance of another issue with a temporary tire. As it turns out, the kind gentleman was the owner- you don’t get better customer service than that. Thank you! We will be coming to Knife Edge (and River Drivers Restaurant- same ownership) for years to come- quality food,...
