Drove an hour from home because a family member recommended. I was going to get the quesadilla because they had raved about it, but was feeling like a more homestyle meal. Decided on meatloaf. I DO NOT recommend. It was literally 2 little.skinny dried up peices of salisbury steak. I didnt eat it. Mashed potatoes that came with were good, but drenched in gravy that tasted like it came from a jar. I will give it another try and maybe get a pizza or quesadilla as those things looked delicious. Only reason i gave 2 stars is because service was awesome. You dont buy meatloaf from a distributor, thats one of those things you need to make in house. its super evident it was a frozen item. wish i had...

My husband and I like to come here when we are in the mood for comfort food. The food here is really good. The names of the dishes are also fun ones! I recommend trying their Tumbledown Greek Pizza which has on it, baby spinach, feta cheese, onions, and black olives spread over an olive oil blend. But all their food is great! They have a lot of combination pizzas to offer at affordable prices, such as a veggie pizza, and a meat lovers kind of pizza. All of the food here is affordable and great! The atmosphere is rustic and clean. They have great memorabilia of Katahdin. The service is impeccable, and fast! If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying this place. It's especially a great...

I finally got to try this place for the first time and I was amazed. It's a quaint little "hole-in-the-wall" dive on your way to Baxter State Park. The inside was decorated with old tools that were used in the saw mills way back in the day. The ladies were so friendly and accommodating. The food was AMAZING! The burger was beautifully juicy and the buns were toasted nicely to balance the burger and these are by far some of THE best tasting fries I've had in a long time. Very crisp on the outside but the inside was nice and flavorful. The price was fair for the fantastic quality food and service and I recommend people stopping in and trying...

We stopped here on our way back from Baxter State Park. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious and well- priced. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks, and those who don't!! My steak quesadilla was so large, I couldn't eat it all and the potato skins were just as we like them, fried first and loaded w cheese and bacon. They were also huge!!! Tim had the wings which were moist and a good size. They also had fresh brewed unsweetened ice tea which was a plus!

Not exactly in the Shadow of Mt. Katahdin, but close enough. This is a great Bar & Grill with an extreme Woodsy/Rural Maine History theme. Plenty to look at pictures, woods type tools hanging on the walls. The service was top notch and the food (unlike that which was eaten in the "olde days) was quite delicious. I can't wait to venture that way again and do a more complete review!
