We decided to finally stop in and try this place, but unfortunately, the experience was a letdown from the start. All we wanted were two cheeseburgers made the way we asked, but placing a simple order turned into a frustrating back-and-forth. Even though we were ordering face to face, there was a lot of confusion and repeating ourselves, and the burgers still came out wrong no condiments, and not prepared as requested.
To make matters worse, one of the employees made a snide remark about how we ordered, calling them "McDonald's burgers." Whether it was meant as a joke or not, it came off as unprofessional and dismissive. A customer shouldn't be criticized for how they like their food especially at a place that should cook to order.
We decided to sit outside, but that turned out to be a bad idea too. The outdoor seating is right next to the dumpster, and the area was swarming with flies. It made it nearly impossible to enjoy the food not that we wanted to finish it at that point.
Overall, this was not a great experience. Between the incorrect order, rude comments, and unpleasant seating environment, we honestly would’ve preferred actual McDonald’s...
Read moreThis restaurant and brewery are so cool! Being that I’m a big rail fan, I had to stop and check this place out. The property consists of two coachmen passenger cars and one caboose. If you’re lucky you can watch one of the marble trains drive by while you’re eating. These cars are sitting alongside the old Louisville/Nashville line that connects Marietta to Blue Ridge.
The restaurant is at the end of the passenger cars and the brewery is on the caboose side. However you can sit and eat wherever you’d like! The people that work here are super friendly and will talk to you about anything which is hard to come by these days. I also believe they make some of the best burgers in Georgia, reminds me of the Vortex in Atlanta. I’ll definitely be making this stop whenever I go visit...
Read moreI have nothing but great things to say about this place! Whenever I travel out of my usual area, I always look up "Mom & Pop" places to eat along the way. Boxcar Grill was on my route this time, so i popped on in. Great remodels of train cars right there in town w/ one being a brewery, the other a diner. I had a double bacon smash cheeseburger, fries w/ ranch (for dippin), & a sweet tea. The folks were very friendly & my food was excellent!! If you're a cheeseburger head like me, you will not be disappointed! Delicious seasoning of burger with flavorful bacon, perfectly cooked funky-shaped fries, & awesome homemade ranch for my fry dippin (it has a heavily guarded secret recipe... i tried to get it, but with no success XD )... I will definitely go back... even if it is way...
