McDonald's — Restaurant in Tallulah

This looked like a new McDonald's so you would think that it would be running top notch. Not so much for this location. When we walked in we smelled the worst smell like there was a sewage issue or their mops were not sanitized properly before mopping - yuck. The person running the register was dismally slow and it looked like they had never done it before. I understand training but when another employee took over I had them read back the order and about half of it was wrong. The people who ordered at the kiosk behind us could not pay there so they were waiting behind us to pay so their order was placed. When we received the food one of the Big Mac's that was supposed to have onions was loaded with onions and had to be remade. It is almost as if ever efficiency that corporate had put in place had been undone by employees not being efficient and paying attention to orders. Fast food is suffering bad due to these sorts of issues. It is amazing that they have become so bad while having so many employees working - most of which look at you when you need assistance but never say the words "can I help you"? Serious customer service...

The young lady at the counter and the woman cleaning the restrooms as well as stocking were very nice. The food tasted fine. The reason for the one rating was the poor service. It took 30 minute to get two big breakfasts and our drinks. Add another 10 mins to get syrup, creamer, butter, and sweetener. My food was cold by the time it got to me. Another 10 mins to top off my coffee. There was a continuous line of people requesting items left off their order, food being returned, etc. There was a full crew working and it was obvious that this is a busy location however when you have workers who are slow trying to put together and deliver orders to tables leaving no one to continue to put together orders, it makes for super slow service. I was there on Wednesday, July 3 around 8:30. At this time of day, especially a holiday week for many, you need both registers working, two putting together the orders, two on either side making the food, someone at the fryers, and someone cleaning the tables etc....

If I could give this place zero start I would! First of all all the workers were on "break" and would come up to the counter to take order when they felt like it. The MANAGER was sitting in the front table just staring at us like what are yall doing here, she proceeded to just sit there for a good 10 minutes! Second, the food was disgusting! Cold and old! Third when I had to go use the restroom I walked in with my three toddlers and realized there was no paper and asked an employee for toilet paper and employee (young girl) proceeded to say you have to come to the front and ask for it, I told her no I can't I have one of my little ones on the toilet I can't leave her and she proceeded to groan and say dude really! And came back and said we are out of paper to bad! TOO BAD! OUT OF PAPER? HOW? anyway we are not from here but as a traveler I thought good customer service is just a given! Definitely not a great experience, I have marked it down to never come to this place again. Just rude...
