Alvis Backroad Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Tamaroa

Visited Alvis for my birthday dinner yesterday. I’m mad at myself for not making the drive sooner! I got a burger flight (3 sliders left to right was the jalapeno popper, backroad, and beer cheese) because of my indecisiveness and my friend had the full-sized “Tamaroa ‘Merica” burger. In my and my friend’s opinion, Alvis has the best burgers in Southern Illinois so far. Every slider was incredible, but I think the jalapeño popper was my favorite because of the unique sweet and spicy combo paired with the cream cheese, and the fresh jalapeño was like the cherry on top. The beef patties were noticeably fresh and had great flavor too.

Service was quick and very friendly, the inside was clean with nice decor, and one thing I appreciated was that I felt comfortable and safe inside. BANDS BEWARE! We were scheduled to play here twice this year and the rude owner Taylor canceled us both times for miscellaneous reasons last minute both times leaving us with no apology or empathy for the situation whatsoever and canceled our future gigs because I asked her if the rest of the dates were still solid! This lady has a "Better than you!," pompous attitude towards people! We musicians are not trash to be talked down to and treated unprofessional! Boycott this place!!!!...
