On August 6th, my friend and I from Danville, Ky. visited your restaurant. After lunch, my friend (78) years old, ordered 3 cupcakes. One to eat and 2 to go.The man at the register told her it was $12 and some odd cents. She did not have the correct change and did not question the amount. She had to give him a $100 bill, out of which he gave her back $81. This made the cupcakes $19. Because there were several people behind her, she didn't count her change until we were on the way home. I feel this was an honest mistake, but, one that needed correcting. When we got back to Danville, I called. It was after 3:00, so you were closed. I called the next morning, August 7th., explained the situation. I gave the man at the register( he said he remembered the lady and the $100 bill) my address and asked if he would mail me a check for the difference between what the cupcakes cost ($6.86) the price he gave me, and the $19, which would be $12.14. He said he would take care of it. I waited until August 15th. Had not received anything, so I called again that day. He said he remembered our conversation, but his wife took care of the books and he thought it was taken care of. Again, he said he would take care of it. It is now August 25th, still nothing. So, my advice is count your change each time, no matter how backed up the line is and if there is a problem, don't count on it to be corrected. This saddened my heart, and I wonder how many other elderly people have had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed!! Read great reviews about this place so I made an appointment for cake tasting for my up coming Wedding. The man I spoke with asked us to come in early for us to sit down and discuss what we wanted and the flavors we could try. So I drove 2 hrs the night before and another 40min each way with my fiance bc we are getting married in Taylorsville but currently neither one of us live there. Went out of our way to get there for the apt. And when we arrived he seemed surprised that we wanted to try cake. The only thing he had available was orange cream sickle which we have no desire to have at our Wedding. He said "if we wanted to stop in another time he could have something for us". Something he should have already had prepared when we arrived!! He seemed very un bothered that he waisted both my finance and I's time. We will most definitely not be giving them our business. Drove over 3 hrs and never even tried any cake. NOT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stopped in for lunch during Octoberfest in Taylorsville. We ordered 5 sandwiches and drinks. The turkey, roast beef, and chicken salad sandwiches were good cold sandwiches. I was disappointed because the restrooms were not available during the Octoberfest. I understand you don't want everyone using the restrooms during a large event. However, when people are spending money in your restaurant, and they bring their children in, you should allow them to use the restrooms. A dining experience isn't just about the food. I would recommend giving it a try as long as there's no...
