C & D's Tekoa Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Tekoa

The food here is consistently terrible and gets worse every time. It's the only restaurant in town otherwise I'd stop gambling on getting food there at all. I stopped ordering anything that had to be cooked on the grill because everything tastes of the metallic grill (are they even cleaning it?). I started ordering things that are cooked in the fryer, but on more than one occasion the chicken strips I ordered were undercooked in the middle so I stopped ordering that. Ordered a chicken salad the other day and it smelled like a dirty kitchen sink and the lettuce was all wilted and slimy and I couldn't eat it at all. The other week I ordered breakfast and the country style hash browns were warm but still raw and uncooked and the toast was slathered in too much margarine. Supposedly the cook here went to the Cordon Bleu culinary institute but I suspect they lied on their resume. We used C & Ds for our wedding catering! The food was absolutely delicious and that in it's own right deserves 5 stars. However, when the weather turned from bad to worse ( A snowstorm in September) Donavan did everything he could to help us out. Without him and Amy from Thompson Barn there wouldn't have been a wedding. Also check out the bar & grill it is super cute and is one of those places where you put doller bills on the wall (Look for ones from our wedding ;) #itslookinggrim). No matter if its catering or just stopping by at the bar you wont be disappointed in C&Ds....

My family and I went to do the burger challenge needless to say we failed but it was fun trying.The staff was great and Cal the owner was wonderful, the food was good. Best french fries in Washington. Oh also a stranger paid for our meal never got his name but just wanted to say thank you and it was paid forward.
