I moved to Tellico Village in May of this year and am still trying to get settled, but the Blue Heron restaurant at the Tellico Village Yacht Club is phenomenal. Their draft beer had the perfect amount of carbonation and was as cold as an Alaskan winter. I would recommend their draft beer to anyone who is a beer drinker. What topped it all off was the Lamb Chops. They were cooked to absolute perfection. I told my wife that it was the best meal I have eaten in the past year. Chef, you are amazing. I will certainly be bringing every visitor I have at my house to experience the amazing wait staff and food. Thank you so much for an amazing date night for my wife and I.

We stopped in for dinner with a view and wow is there ever a view! Our 3 dishes were risotto with shrimp and scallops, airline chicken with fingerling potatoes, and a burger with fries. All of it was outstanding. The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly and the risotto had a creamy wine sauce and just the right texture. My dad’s burger was huge with a mountain of thinly sliced fries and my daughter had pan fried chicken that was well seasoned and cooked, with roasted vegetables. Though we did not have alcohol, the wine list is the size of the menu. The service was great and the view was the best you can find anywhere.

Came to visit family living in Tellico Village and we went for a boat ride to the Yatch Club. We had dinner and we ordered Bkackend trout, short ribs, prime ribs, and coffee rub pork shops. The dinner was well prepared and presented very professional, and what I like most was correctly done is that the food had sufficient salt we can taste the food as it should be. Megan served with great attention to allow for us to enjoy the food and a good conversation but very attentive to our needs.

October 3, 2024 - another great meal and experience at the Yacht Club!!! Food. Debi had the opportunity to entertain some great clients tonight. Everything Great! Marietta our Server. Great!!! Requested a table outside on the patio. Tabletop had multiple stains and judging by the gritty texture when I wiped my hand across it that it hasn’t been wiped down since at least the day before. PLEASE put a table cloth and some bunched up napkins on the unstable table legs that rock back and forth so you can eat without your food jumping off the plate! YUCK 🤢

Patio was rife with cobwebs that defy the imagination, and there are hooks on the patio frame that are devoid of any type of hanging plant growth that could enhance your dining experience. Nope, too much effort.

Luckily we just went for cocktails and dessert since we ate dinner at home.. Ordered the 10 shrimp cocktail. I mean, how in Gods name can you screw up a shrimp cocktail? Well they did! I could literally wring out the water from the shrimp (at a cost of $2.70 EACH). If you are going to serve thawed out pre cooked shrimp, press them in paper towels for Gods sake so they don’t drip with water when you bite into them!

I hate to say this but this restaurant is run by a company that is going to run it into the ground! The servers are the best I’ve encountered but the upkeep of this property along with the abysmal menu is doomed for failure! Until there is a DRASTIC change in management steer clear...

I will start by saying I have had good experiences at the Yacht Club but since moving to Tellico in 2020 I have seen a decline in both food and service. This evening I went in with my wife and this is the last time we will dine there. Our drinks; mine was delivered without a straw or a napkin, my wife got her’s straight out of the can; no glass, napkin or straw. That was the last we saw of our waitress for 30 mins. I had to walk to the bar and get my wife a straw and I took a glass off another table. Our appetizers; no small plates. The food arrived; filet mignon, baked cod, the taste was bland and nothing special at all. Still no sight of the waitress as our appetizers, salads and main course were served by 3 different people. Keep em guessing and confused is the name of the game I guess. Finally, our waitress appeared with the check, I handed her the credit card, she returned and when I opened it to sign the check, no pen. I went up to the bar to ask for a pen but no one in the restaurant had a pen. The hostess said she had to go to Alicia’s office to get a pen. WTH ? No pen. Amazing. Tellico Village deserves better. See ya. Next time we will drive to Lenoir City and eat...
