I celebrated my 2 months moved to US with Chinese food with my broken Chinese speaking.
Menu are in English and Chinese but no pin-in which I had to order in English instead. Each menu identifies with 🌶️ to define spicy level.
Dining seat and tables serve for around 25+ people. 5 waiting seats.
Nice, cozy and minimal decorations. All paintings are nice to look.
Clean kitchen and cashiers area. Same as toilet.
Once you sit, water and menu are serve.
Restaurant run my family and I love how daughter (waitress) was so kind and patience with my broken Chinese and thought me to read Chinese characters while I made an order. Really appreciate this.
Mine ordered dried noodle with stewed beef with 🌶️🌶️🌶️ but spicy is not reach my level that I had to asked for additional 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and I felt like I was in heaven while eating . Spicy from Chinese foods to me, only spicy and a bit numb while eating but felt nothing after done. Stewed beef was so rich and flavorful.
And I ordered pork fried rice without veggies as takeout. Packaging are sturdy and so many rice that I couldn’t finish all of them but those taste delectable, a bit oily and a bit salty from sauces but overall taste toothsome 😋
Cute fortune cookie with panda 🐼 package.
Payment here : strongly recommend with cash. Apple Pay, Tap won’t work. Not sure for swipe or insert but you will get 3% charge on that. Thus, cash is king here.
Now I found the place to serve me when I’m craving for spicy food and fried rice which luckily located nearby my apartment.
Definitely visit again...
Read moreI stopped here simply because it was on my route and I am so glad I did! I ordered hot and sour soup and the Dan Dan Bowl. You might be used to the Dan Dan bowl at another well-known Chinese place oh, this is served with ground pork and baby bok choy. The soup came first and it was huge clearly meant to be a meal on its own! I am a big fan of all kinds of Chinese food and I love hot and sour soup. I can tell you that this is the best I've had in Phoenix! Then I tried the Dan Dan noodles and there was a big problem, I totally missed the fact that there were three Chili Peppers on the menu next to the item! I like spicy food especially if the spice has a good flavor, but this was too hot for me. Still the problem was entirely my own I just missed the heat rating. I asked the server if I could get another order of it so that I could mix them together and cut the heat down. She took the dish back and the cook remade it with the sauce on the side. That was very, very kind of them and although I offered to pay for both they did not charge me. I don't live very close to this restaurant however I will definitely make the drive for that hot and sour soup and when I'm in this part of town there is no question where...
Read moreThe place is small but clean. Friendly staff, and it was full on a Thursday evening. They got 2 stars for what I hope is, their worst dish on the menu. The Dan Dan noodles. They're just slightly edible, I stuck through it to the end; but, literally wanted to immediately eat something else afterward just to get rid of the flavor.
It claims to have ground pork, which might have been the sprinkles all over that could be mistaken for pepper or some other seasoning. And the green onions were tiny and sparse. I picked it because it was supposed to be one of the spiciest dishes on the menu; I can get more fire out Taco Bell sauce packet. And just the overall blend was not appetizing, and I eat just about anything.
Then I thought, maybe it's just me. I've never tried Dan Dan before, maybe it's just supposed to suck. I went online, all the pictures look nothing like what I got. Apparently, it supposed to be topped off or at least have a generous side portion of a seasoned ground pork mixture with a healthy quantity of veggies.
I may give it another go and review again. But...
