We went Sunday 9-10-2023. To start the place is clean, the staff gree ver had fresh made. We placed order and went and sat down. Their is sitting outside too. The owner came over. What a Delightful, kind person. The food is made with Love. We chatted. We were waiting on Hubby's order of Crazy Fries and My order of Smashed Burger & fries. Owner brings A taste of Red beans & Rice. HEAVEN!! The sauce is made with pumpkin. It is smooth, tangy our palettes were dance happily. No you cant taste pumpkin. It makes the sauce smooth, robust, just right in perfect thickness. Owner is greeting others, bringing drinks and food out. The youngman working was doing same as well as being in the kitchen. Which was CLEAN, staff were smiling and you could tell they loved what they were doing and were happy to be there. From owner to all staff "everyone was treated with respect and like family." Here comes our order "CRAZY FRIES..they are Crazy and so CRAZY GOOD! Hubby got the Monfongo with steak, chicken, ham, plantains, potato sticks, cheese sauce. THIS IS A MUST TRY!! Needless to say "we did not expect so much food." The smashed BURGER INSANITY the taste, texture and omg so much Huge. Fresh tomato and lettuce is NOT ICEBERG wanna be lettuce. Greens. We could not eat even half. Had to order lemonades to go. Shared with others the Crazy Fries, Smashed Burger. Today we had the red beans, rice with pork! Everyone deserves to be treated like they are family and valued. Happy Owner, Staff and Patrons. Everyone should go and SEE for yourself. I do BELIEVE you will be going back on a regular bases. I know we will. They are CLOSED on MONDAYS. They have a lunch Special daily. A meal deal of Fresh roasted rotisserie chicken which they do right there and comes with rice and beans. Yes we will be going and grabbing the meal for $20 half a chicken for it will freed us 2 meals each. This would be a +20 stars rating or more. We do plan on going back and eventually trying all on menu. Thank You Omi's for providing us with Outrageous Good Food, making us feel like Family....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOmiās Bar and Grill is one of those little oases you never expect to find but end up stumbling upon, and once you do, it feels like youāve discovered family! The moment you walk in, you're hit with an aroma that instantly tantalizes your senses. This cozy spot is family-owned, and you can feel the warmth and care in every detailāfrom the friendly greetings to the small island restaurant vibe.
Today, I decided to get the Flank Steak Sandwich. Now, let me tell you, I am a steak sandwich snob. If thereās a steak sandwich on the menu, you can bet Iām ordering it. But this one, oh, this one is a cut above the rest! The steak is cooked to your temperature preference, which in my case is "rare" (get it, rare?). This isnāt your typical thin slice of tasteless meat. This is in a class of its own! This is an absolute must-tryāyouāll regret it if you donāt order it when you see it at the table!
And for the price, I promise you, you wonāt find a better deal anywhere else. The fries that come with it, though just fried, complement the sandwich exceptionally wellācrispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like them. Regrettably, I will need to take a picture next time I visit, which will most likely be tomorrow, because I couldnāt even think of taking a picture before it vanished. It was so delicious that by the time I thought about documenting its perfection, all that was left were crumbs and a satisfied grin on my face!
Supporting Omiās Bar and Grill means more than just enjoying a fantastic meal. Itās about keeping the spirit of small, family-owned businesses alive. The owners pour their heart and soul into this place, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. So next time you're in the neighborhood, drop by Omiās and experience the magic for yourself. You'll be supporting a dream and indulging in some...
Read moreWith all due respect, take this as constructive criticism. Take out. Waited an hour or over for 2 empanadas, 1 mofongo with shrimp with casi na de cream sauce. The sauce is delicous, more sauce on the mofongo. Banging btw but it needs more sauce. 2 orders of White rice with red beans and pernil and there was salad in the same container. The pernil was dry af, dry, I didn't taste the Puerto Rican love or flavor. The pernil was dry and flavorless. And when we walk back home, cause it's close by. The red beans were missing,.. the beans were ok. No love in the beans. Oh, guys, coño an hour or longer waiting for the food and it wasn't even hot. I don't usually leave reviews for anyone but being that you're supposed to be representing Boricua cuisine, you need to do better. If my food which btw I spent $90 was HOT I would care. But we had to microwave our food and it takes 120 seconds to walk to the front door of our host. Mofongo was good, stop being cheap with the sauce. If you need to make more make more, if you have to stay late to get it done then stay late or just sell the place to me and I'll run the show but REPRESENT and stop being complacent like you earned customer loyalty. Pizza empanada delicous. The empanada and the shrimp were the only 2 things that needed to he cooked. The rice, the beans, and the pernil was already cooked. Oh, don't put salad in the same container where the (Hopefully) hot food goes. By the time a customer gets home the entire salad is warm and wilted. You have a nice Punto and potential to be huge but you need to serve and cook like everyday is your first day of business. God bless. Nothing more shifty thank wake warm food. And cheap cooks. Sauce....
