We have been going to Aubrey's for years, but it has been going downhill for the past few years. This last visit will be our last. We ordered online for a takeout and were given a time when to come pick up order. We arrived on time and called to let them know we were here. The 1st employee hung up on us. We called right back and told they would be out in a few minutes with our order. We called back 15 mins later and again were told they would be right out with our food. As we were waiting after that last call we saw an employee outside and told her what happened. She went in and sent someone out. A very RUDE young man came out, took our name and asked what our order was. As I was telling him this he literally walked away from us. 5 mins later we saw a manager and asked him to come over. We told him what happened. He then went inside and got our food. At this time he told us he was informed we JUST called!! We told him that was a lie and showed him our phone and the times of the call. He then went on to make excuses about how short staffed they were. We realize all businesses are short staffed, but being called a liar, the rude behavior of the employees, and the manager has nothing to do with being short staffed. We were not offered a discount for this purchase or next purchase...nothing but not our fault and rude behavior. To top that off the food was cold. The baked potato was rotten and they should have caught that because it was cut open. The chicken was not cooked all the way through once we cut into it. The hamburger was hard as a rock and could not be eaten. The pasta was under cooked. Out of all the meals we ordered...there were 4 adult meals and 3 children meals...ONLY 1 meal was cooked correctly. Even the children's grilled cheese wasn't cooked...the cheese was not melted. We do not appreciate waiting 1.5 hours for garbage food and spending almost $100 on food that we were not able to eat because of the quality or lack thereof. Aubrey's used to care about the quality of food and their customers but all they seem to care about now is the...
Read moreWe were passing through on our way to our cabin and we had been on the road for a while. And we were hungry. A leather shoe would have tasted good. Saw that Aubrey's had 4.5 stars and appeared to have a great menu. We ordered grilled cheese, mac&cheese, 2 reuben sandwiches, chicken tenders, cheesecake and some sort of apple galette. Grilled cheese would imply some sort of toasting and browning of the bread....the bread was whiter than my Minnesota dwelling mother-in-law's legs on a cold December winter morning. The cheese was "plastic"looking. The corned beef on the Reuben was chewy. It felt like eating rubber bands. It was gross. Once again the bread was not toasted. The mac & cheese was just yuck. Couldn't even eat it. The chicken tenders were dry and sad looking. The cheesecake was gummy and has no flavor. The apple galette was just as miserable as the rest of the food. Please don't come here. Apparently the kitchen staff doesn't care. It shows in the food. Have standards. Get some corned beef from the deli meat section and make your own Reuben. Get a box of kraft Mac and cheese and make your own Mac and cheese. Get yourself some butter, cheese and thick sliced bread and make your own grilled cheese. Stay home, make your own and...

Aubrey’s on Cedar Bluff is one of those spots you keep hearing about from coworkers, neighbors, and that one friend who swears they know all the best places to eat. So I finally gave in—and honestly, I get the appeal.
The atmosphere strikes that nice balance between casual and polished. It’s the kind of place where you can roll in with friends after work or bring the in-laws without worrying if it's "nice enough." The menu has something for everyone—nothing too weird, nothing too plain. I went with the Hickory Chicken, and it was solid. Flavorful, juicy, and that smoky glaze hit the right notes. My friend had the fish tacos and gave them an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
Service was friendly, if a bit slow during the dinner rush. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to note if you’re in a hurry. Prices were fair for what you get, and portion sizes didn’t disappoint.
Is it the best meal I’ve ever had? No. But it’s consistent, reliable, and just trendy enough to feel like you’re part of the Knoxville “scene.” If you're looking for a safe bet with a good vibe, Aubrey’s on Cedar...
