TLDR: Food was great, service was fast and friendly, Prices could be lower, but were still reasonable. I would recommend. I would return if I lived in the area or pass this way again. We weren't expecting much, but we had been lost in the woods for the past 2 or 3 hours after a previous hiking trip that had included some climbing. We were hungry. We were greeted right away and told that we could sit anywhere. There were maybe 4 tables indoors, but they were all available. Most people preferred to sit outdoors. The waitress was beyond friendly as she made recommendations and offered samples of the frozen drinks. I got the seafood combo with Rooster rice (spicy) and fried okra as my sides. I asked for my fish to be grilled instead of fried. I also ordered a bowl of gumbo, and the Dickel Drop frozen drink. My brother had the fish tacos and gumbo. We were both blown away by the flavors. The rooster rice may have been my favorite food there, but the shrimp were seasoned well, and the fish was cooked to perfection! The fried okra was hot, lightly battered, not gooey, but not over cooked either. I didn't have room for the gumbo, so I couldn't tell you more except that it had shrimp, cut up pieces of another meat, sausage perhaps, and my brother was very impressed by it. We couldn't stop laughing at the name of my drink from George Dickel's Tennessee Whiskey and sun drop soda I assume. Dickel Drop. If you drink to much... Prices were a little high, but about what you'd expect. 12 oz of Gumbo was $8.00, My seafood combo with a crab cake, 2 pieces of fish, 2 hush puppies (small and sweet like the waitress), maybe 8 shrimp (didn't count),and 2 sides were $21.00, and my Dickel Drop was $10.00. I would recommend this restaurant. I would like to eat there again.

We came here last night for our anniversary dinner. We sat down at 7:20 and got our food at 9pm. Our waitress was so sweet and did try to keep us up to date on everything. She was very accommodating and so polite. However, we have two small kids and if our friends hadn’t have bought our meal we would have walked out. When we did finally get out food it was in to go boxes and we were still there to eat as we’re not even from the area. The vibe of the area was so cool and we really enjoyed the area but we won’t be back because of our experience with the wait. We honestly felt like we were the very last people of the night to receive our food.

Today I spent $82 on lunch for my wife and I. We had one of the worst meals of our lives. Obviously service is expected to be slow during these times but receiving apps before getting our drinks (and then having to ask for them) is uncalled for. The gulf shrimp appetizer was $16 and came with 8 tiny shrimp that were over cooked and almost inedible. The crab cake sandwich was a sloppy joke and seemed very undercooked and the fries tasted microwaved. Only reason they got 3 stars is because of the ambiance of being on the lake, otherwise it was 1 star.

We were there to celebrate a birthday, worse experience ever! Server extremely lazy only saw her a total of 5 times. So lazy she didn’t bring appetizers until she brought our food. Other serves was having to hunt out server down. You could tell she didn’t wanna be there, all she did was huff and puff the entire time. Not to mention she brought our bucket of beer and just tossed the oranges in the bucket. The other table she gave cups with their bucket we didn’t get any at all. She wasn’t bussing any of her tables just leaving them how they were as guests left. We were there around two hours and not one table did she clean, NOT ONE. Meanwhile I see the other serves being nice and doing their part with their guests even bussing their tables. Pretty horrible service and experience for the birthday persons first time there, she ruined their birthday. She was so horrible two of our guest just got up and left because of her attitude. I definitely wouldn’t have my kids there with the way she was acting. So no I do not think it’s kid friendly since it ask that at the bottom of this, not to mention she had her a$$ cheeks hanging out her tiny black shorts which is unacceptable for...

We were so excited about eating at this place today. It was supposedly the best place on the lake we came in and ordered an appetizer, a c drinks, and 2 combo platers immediately. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. The boudin balls were good in the rice was excellent, everything else was undercooked, and mediocre was no seasoning at all. But the biggest problem for the ultra rotten stinky shrimp. Unfortunately, I ate three. Hopefully, I'm not puking in a few hours. We let the waitress know, and she cared, but no one else did, That's for sure $100 bucks later hungry and sad hopefully not poisoned from the week cook. We let the other waitress know also hopefully they'll throw away the bad shrimp and not keep serving them.

A side note to the management team usually when you serve rotten Seafood at least that quantity might not be a horrible idea to buy the customer a desert or maybe a beer or who knows maybe even comp one of the two rotten platters. just a thought. we paid in full and left certainly...
