Jimmy's Place — Restaurant in Tennessee

Wow, I can't believe this has over four stars on average. Maybe it's just relative to the lack of options out on Norris. We were there toward the end of the summer season and they had limited their menu to one page of totally uninspiring options. Nothing was inedible but nothing in our group of size was particularly good, either. Food would be three stars but the server was also maybe the most incompetent we'd ever seen. They only serve three or four beers, but she didn't know what they were. My wife asked if they had a bar that did cocktails, and she didn't know if they did or not. Bear in mind, this was a scorching hot Saturday during a UT game, on a lake. If there's ever a time you ought to be able to push some booze, that's it. Know the dang menu. Great facility and location, but they need some leadership and training in how to serve. Ate there yesterday. Sat at in umbussed table after watching it sit for 5 minutes. We bussed it ourselves after our drinks were served. Don't know the waitresses name as she didn't give it and seemed unconvinced to serve us. Had to go get our own menus, and I made 2 trips from our table to the kitchen for sauces, because it was faster after staring at our food for 4-5 minutes. Short story: we pay to go out to eat for service and atmosphere. I sat and observed the staff. Less than 5% of customer interactions included a smile. If I wanted to pay for poor service. The only reason I gave them a few stars is because the staff was friendly and hard working. The food is overpriced and not good. We order 5 different dinners(Norris burger, parmesan crusted chicken, pulled pork dinner, pulled pork sandwich, kids burger) Everyone’s fries were cold. The burger was so overcooked it was hard has a rock. The chicken was undercooked and pink in the center. The steam vegetables were so watery and soggy.
