I ordered food from Little Nicky’s for the first time 2 days ago with high hopes. I placed my order through Grubhub for the Antipasto Salad and Garlic bread. After the Grubhub fee and tip it was $30.08. Pretty pricey for lunch but I was confident it would be worth it. My food arrived and i opened everything up, the salad and bread looked great. I tried a bite of the salad and it didn’t taste right. I chalked it up to the dressing and started stirring the salad around and that’s when i noticed the ham was GRAY. Gray and slimy (which btw a quick google search shows a health score for bad ham in August 2018). At that time I started messaging Grubhub. They tried for over 30 minutes to get in touch with Little Nicky’s to no avail. I, myself tried for 10 minutes before i ever got an answer from Little Nicky’s. I spoke with Dave who told me that he didn’t understand how my salad was bad, that they are made fresh daily and if i wanted a refund it would have to be from Grubhub. Grubhub said the refund had to be approved from Little Nicky’s. I asked Dave if he had a way to call and tell Grubhub to issue a refund and he claimed that he did not. I called Grubhub and told them the whole story again. They called Little Nicky’s and finally got my refund approved. It took 2 hours to muddle through all of this. While I’m frustrated with Grubhub and their experience, I’m even more frustrated and disappointed with Little Nicky’s. First impressions are important and my first impression is whoever Dave is - he doesn’t care about customers, which in turn makes me believe that Little Nicky’s doesn’t either. I have recordings, screenshots, etc. i was understanding and nice on the phone but was not met with that same respect by Dave/Little Nicky’s. I posted this same review on Little Nicky’s Facebook where i was met with even more rude comments from the owners. They first apologized but then tried to discredit me. After backlash from others on Facebook, Little Nicky’s edited and deleted some of their rude comments and then as of today (3/16) they have hidden their Facebook reviews. I will never visit this establishment again and i suggest you reconsider visiting yourself. If google would allow photos i would post the pictures of my salad/rotten ham as well as all of the crazy comments...

The star of the show is definitely the pizza. The crust is light and airy, with a satisfying crisp that holds up perfectly. Nicky's sauce is a revelation for those who shy away from overly acidic tomato sauces. It strikes a perfect balance, neither sweet nor heavy, making it a great choice for even the most sensitive stomachs. But Little Nicky's goes beyond pizza. Their eggplant rollatini is a hearty and delicious option. The eggplant is perfectly fried, maintaining its crispness, while the ricotta and mozzarella filling is luxuriously creamy.
For those who love to cook at home, Little Nicky's offers a selection of Italian specialties. I grabbed some of their fantastic sausage for my next meat sauce and a loaf of authentic Italian bread, baked fresh and straight from Brooklyn. The Burrata mozzarella deserves special mention. Pulled fresh daily, it was the creamiest, most buttery Burrata I've had in a long time. It paired beautifully with the garlic bread I made from their Italian loaf.
No meal is complete without dessert, and Little Nicky's cannoli did not disappoint. They fill them fresh to order, and both the regular and chocolate cannoli were a delightful end to the meal. My fiance, a cannoli newbie, declared,” I need an endless supply of these."
The warm and welcoming atmosphere added to the entire experience. Nicky and Dina were fantastic hosts, happy to chat about the good old days in NYC and Northern NJ. Their friendly service made me feel right at home. Overall, Little Nicky's New York Pizza is a hidden gem. From the incredible pizza and homemade specialties to the delicious desserts and friendly service, it's a place I have a feeling I'll be visiting...
Read moreSo. You’ve been to the Mecca of pies. The almighty Tri-state area. Maybe it was NYC, maybe it was Jersey. But you never forgot the taste. Or maybe it was the experience or even texture of the crust. Whatever it was, you came home to Knoxville and let it haunt you for years. So, I met this fella from Brooklyn recently and asked him. Now here’s where your verbiage is important: I asked him where the best pie in Knoxville was and that I was looking to “cop a slice”. His eyes lit up like I had spoken some ancient language and his response was simple and quick; “Little Nicky’s in Solway”. So, of course I respected this man’s opinion being a Brooklyn native and immediately took my wife and daughter. When I tell you that this place is THE EXPERIENCE, it’s no exaggeration. Both of the staff (I assume family members because that’s just what I had expected from my previous experience in NYC and NJ) had the deep accents, the incredibly friendly-in-a-stern-way that will catch most southerners off guard, and the PIE. This is it. This is what I’ve been chasing here in the south since I was touched by light up north. For my northern visitors looking for that slice of home, come here and have a seat. For my southern friends who think Sbarro is the closest thing you’ll ever get to the “real deal”. Nah bro, we actually have it here. It’s called Little Nicky’s and it’s in Solway. My wife, daughter and I will be regulars here as long as Nicky is...
