The BEST burger and Sweet Potato Fries I’ve eaten in almost FOREVER! The Smokehouse burger is authentically smoked with real wood and the ribs are rubbed down and then drowned in homemade sauce. Even the pickiest of preteen food critics were subdued with the concoction. The baked potatoes are firm but just right for mixing in your favorite toppings. Obviously the grilled cheese was good, but the scratch made Mac n’ cheese didn’t last long either. The ‘more country than county’ atmosphere is drenched in 90’s and 2000’s country music, saturated in local arts and crafts and topped off with the charming appeal of antique fixtures. All of this is not the end. Robert waited on us and did an amazing job. Never too pushy, never hovered and always present when needed, he topped the meal with ‘not so common’ courtesies, less than routine respect and genuine kindness. Recommendations, added service and special requests were never treated like an issue or concern. He easily made the meal as comfortable as a booth at home can be.

I'd give 0 stars if possible. Came here for my husband's bday. They have 1 cook. Was told my sons tenders would be 20 mins. Was 45. We ordered pulled pork which shouldn't take long since it's previously cooked. It took hour n half. 2 tables that came in after us now have their food as well which included things like burgers that had to be cooked to order. If you're thinking, maybe they are just really busy... there is only 7 tables with people in them here and 4 servers. And this meal I posted pic of was 15$ it tasted like water and was smallest portion ever been given in my life of pulled pork. Also I read a review before posting this one where the manager seemed pretty rude in the response about how the customer didn't mention any of the issues at the restaurant... so that we are clear, we voiced our opinion a couple times and my husband was told simply, "sorry, your bill is 60.65$." Seriously, was the only words given after his complaint.

So this time it was the Millstone Restaurant & Country Store in Dandridge. I love finding these little gems. A cute little place with a country vibe. Huge amount of good food and reasonable prices. I had the Millstone Classic Burger with mashed potatoes and gravy. The potatoes were very smooth and creamy. The burger was good, but huge. I couldn’t finish all of it. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders and homemade Mac and cheese. My husband ordered the Ex Boss Lady Chicken with steamed broccoli and a sweet potato. Look at the size of that sweet potato! My son ordered the chopped steak. Only thing on this was he said next time he would order some gravy to go with it. Lots of good food, great service and cute country vibe. We will definitely be back.

This review is actually sad for me. Had i written this a year ago I would have told you this was one of my favorite places to eat. I just relocated to the area from Florida and passed by the restaurant a couple of times and decided to give it a try. I enjoyed it enoght to dine there at least twive a week. It's clean (yes even the bathrooms) the food was never a disappointment, the staff friendly and the setting warm and comfortable. Then very slowly it began. Little things like changing suppliers once the best onion rings I've ever tasted became just like the ones every where else. Or you would be served your food minus something simple like fries and we are just waiting on your fries was the norm. After my third visit I was "a regular" i knew everyone by name and my beverage at my table before I'd order it. Next the good staff started dropping like flies and the issues just got worse. By the time Misty and Miss Shelia quit then Lindsey the food and service was hit and miss so my patronage became an almost monthly rarity. So about a month ago i decided to give it another try and they had just opened up the patio area and I thought why not. I opened the door and the first thing i noticed was the former specials, soup of day board was now a list of things from the menu that they were "out of" in this business its called 86 list it belongs in the kitchen not on the first thing greeting your guests. Silly me I sat down and ordered. I orderthe chopped steak/hamburger steak whichever you call it and order my favorite sides the fried corn and a cup of soup. They no longer have the corn available and didn't have the soup wanted both still on the menus and neither made it to the chalkboard guess they ran out of room to write. I kinda snapped at our waitress but changed my sides. A mere moment later the waitress returned with the apology from the kitchen manager and that our entire tables check would be "on the house" then the food arrives the fresh cut fries. Old and cold. Now I want to. Speak with the manager. She of course was not there so i send back the fries and less than 2 or 3 minutes l had my fires. Yes they were hot only because the ones sent back had been re dropped into the fryer. At this point i just give up. We leave. And my first thought as i saw the new patio was why waste money trying to serve food on the patio when you didn't have enough to feed the folks in the dining room. This restaurant has been killed by its own growing pains. I wish you luck but ill go elsewhere to...

I've eaten at Millstone 4 times since it opened. Basic food, but a decent enough variety and it showed promise. The first three times were a pleasant enough experience to merit return visits, since it's close by. These first 3 visits were for lunch.

Then, returned for dinner on a Thursday evening. Place wasn't busy - only 5 tables being served including ours. But the employees tended to take the edge off our appetite - overweight women in 'wife beater' tank tops - a definite no-no for food service. And there were plenty of them. Four waitresses and 4 cooks to serve 5 tables. So it was a mystery that we waited 40 minutes for our basic burgers. We finally got up to leave - pay for our drinks - and head down the road to someplace else. Just then our waitress came up to the register with our food and we reluctantly sat back down to eat.

BIG MISTAKE ! The food was barely warm, and the burgers were hard and dry. They were ordered medium, but they were very overcooked and like eating sandpaper. We each took 4 bites and that was enough. No need for doggie bag - the dog would have rejected this garbage.

For the long wait and the poor food quality, the manager gave us a 10% discount on our bill. WOW - that $2.50 savings made everything right.

Will not be returning and I suggest you shun this...

This place was all around just trash. Our waitress was grossly over worked, she was the only one there for the entire place, yet she was very nice and handled it well. The food was disgusting and over priced. My daughter ordered the shrimp Alfredo and the sauce was visibly spoiled and curdled (like it was chunky and gross) and we watched it sit under a hot lamp for 45 min while the rest of our food cooked. Since the Alfredo was spoiled she changed her order to the shrimp platter which comes with 2 side, not only did it take another 45 min for her to finally get her food but one of the sides were missing. The mac and cheese was reheated and dry, it was so bad my kids wouldn't even eat it and they love mac and cheese. Honestly i could go on about the negatives. The food was just terrible. The manager was nice but you could tell she was use to hearing these complaints and was doing her best with what shes given. Honestly though the place would be awesome bar. They have live music, an awesome patio and cold beer. If thats what your going for then its a great little place, but as a restaurant it was...
