Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Tennessee

Well I will say we was very disappointed. We decided to try this place for the first time after reading the reviews and how good this place was. I'm very unsure how these people came to that conclusion but the food quality is average first off. We had tried a lot of different Mexican restaurants and have had a lot better as far as food. Now let's go on the the multiple other issues we had. Took 20 mins asking for silverware when by the 7th trip to our table we finally got them so our girls could have straws to drink their drinks. When we finally got our red sauce we asked for an extra bowl as there is 5 of us so having 2 bowls of red sauce kinda is a must. They wouldn't bring another bowl of it and after the first 10 mins we finally got that. (LOL) At this point I wish there wasbt more but there is. So FINALLY 25 mins of waiting she finally comes to take our order. There was only 4 other sets of people their at the time we place our order. We went to get our twins the hard tacos from the kids menu with a side of fries. Well she ended up bringing 2 out on the same plate but did bring out a small extra plate. I timed it, it was another 10 mins before she brought their single order of fries out to us. Finally after 5 mins my husband gets his fajitas but then was another 5 mins before ge got his shells to eat them with. So now at this point in time, our twins are still waiting on their fries and our other daughter just got an order of fried which we was still waiting on and none of my food had even came out yet. After another 5 minutes his fries comes out with my food which then had to be sent back because they missed it up so ai had to re wait for my food again 10 mins. And about 8 mins later both our twins and our other daughter finally got their fries. Now after that long of a wait the fries should have been fresh and hot. Nope they was barely warm. So then my husband got his fries around 7 mins later and his shells. The whole point in going out to eat is everyone eating at once but not here. Please expect to get an average of 10-15 mins between each person because your food doesn't even come out close together. It's very safe to say we will never return to this place again. And oh I forgot she ended up charging us for each item our girls got not the kids meals we asked for when ordering. At almost 50 dollars it was a far car...

We used to eat here all the time. Up until last night I would have given a 5 star review, but they have new order and pay at the table systems in place. Our food was very good as always, but the service was not. My husband and I are both diabetic, so we normally have our water with us. We do however sometimes ask for ice. Our waitress last night acted like it was such a problem that we already had water and only needed ice. After we ordered, we were never asked if we needed any more ice, chips, or salsa. Even when all were completely empty on the table. I ordered a side of avocado slices with my meal, but did not receive them. When I told the waitress about it she said she would take them off the check. Before my husband paid the bill, the waitress informed him that she had taken off my side and given us a small discount for our wait time. My husband unknowing at the time asked the waitress where he needed to sign on the tablet. She showed him the place where it stated for signature and tip. He chose no tip, because we were planning on leaving her cash on the table. When he received his receipt, it said Total with Tip. It also gave different tip amounts, so we still thought we had not given a tip yet and left it on the table. Today after looking at the bank account, we realize that the highest tip amount was given to a waitress that did not earn that amount of tip. Especially since we left even more cash tip...

This place used to be so great when they first opened, but for the last 6 months or so it has went downhill. We order takeout most of the time and they have gotten our order wrong almost every time. I usually just eat it anyway because the food was good lol. But the time I did call back and have it corrected, even tho I brought them the mistake box, they told me they could not take it back and that I had to pay for the correct dinner too. Against my advice we took some family there for dine in and once again my food was wrong. The crazy part was how explicit I was on wanting chicken and not shredded chicken. Of course I got shredded chicken and when I finally got his attention away from his girlfriend the waiter came over and brought me the box I asked for. I give up. The food really is fantastic, but the lady that used to work there hasn't been there the past several times and I just can't keep wasting $ on food that may or may not be ( probably won't be) correct. And to answer your probable question my order is ALWAYS chicken and shrimp quesadillas. (Always adding... Please be sure its the chunk chicken and NOT shredded chicken) I don't like green peppers but have not even bothered asking them to leave those off lately it's just easier to pock them off myself!
