We traveled from Murfreesboro to meet up with friends for the day and ended up dining here. We inquired with our server Lillie about different liquors at the bar. She said it was only her third day and went to go look for us. After a couple of exchanges, we ordered drinks and dinner. She then disappeared. She appears 45 minutes later to tell us that she forgot to put our food in and that she just did. We have to ask for drink refills. 20 minutes later she arrives with our food. My only complaint with the food is that the slaw tasted old and was inedible and the hushpuppies were rock solid. I couldn’t tell our server though, because she disappeared again. We then had to go to the bar to ask for our checks from a different server. It took Lillie three times to get the checks right. No discount or dessert offered for completely forgetting about our food. Mind you, it appeared she only had 3 tables, so I’m unsure as to why she forgot and where she disappeared to the whole time. Since we had been there for almost 2 hours and had a long drive back to the Boro, I was just going to call a manger and discuss the issue, so I called a left a message that night. I got a call the next day but requested a call back because I had poor cell service. I did not receive a call back and have since called the restaurant back multiple times and left another message. Still waiting on a call back… Perhaps the safest bet is to just get drinks and enjoy the...
Read moreWe actually ate here last night. Our first impression when we walked in was great. The atmosphere was great. Laid back, clean, and beautiful. We only had to wait about 15 minutes on a Saturday night which was great. We were seated and greeted by our server who was great. She brought us water and we ordered some cocktails. It was my birthday and I really wanted the prime rib. The waitress informed me that it had been cooking all day and was medium well to well done which didn’t sound appealing. I got a side salad and It was great. You could tell the ranch was made. We waited a while for our drinks. After asking a couple times the waitress went and made our drinks herself. Our food took forever and they were not very busy. The waitress apologized a few times. Our food finally arrived. I got the ribeye which I ordered medium rare. The steak was seasoned good just over cooked a little which was no big deal. My son got the shrimp and grits. The grits were way over salted and he only ate the shrimp which were good. My wife got the Cajun chicken pasta. The sauce was weird and had an weird flavor I couldn’t figure out. The sausage in the dish was good. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. For a $100 dinner we were not very impressed. I loved the atmosphere so much though I tried to go back and have a drink tonight. Too bad they were...
Read moreWhile I really wanted to love the restaurant for it’s location and view, we had a very unpleasant experience after our waitress didn’t inform our party of allergy restrictions. While ordering, my friend made it known that she had celiac disease and that anything containing gluten would cause her serious pain and an allergic reaction. She asked for just plain fries after the waitress nodded and said they would be fine for her to eat. Turns out that wasn’t the case, the menu also had no information regarding allergic reactions or informing us which dishes could work for my friend. The food was good, I can’t complain about that but a waitress should be informed about certain dietary restrictions and shouldn’t just assume somethings safe to eat when it potentially could cause a lot of harm. My friend was extremely sick today...
