I didnt order food, I was a doordash driver, but the guy at the register was always very polite and helpful. If I lived closer, I'd order from there.

Whoever called it deceitful to use the online ordering service they use is a moron. It has one word in common, "Slice." Thats it. Youre mad cuz you clicked on the slicelife.com link to their online ordering service?? Because you didnt bother to look at their contact information tab, listing the restaurants actual website as sliceofitalyofterrehill.com ? Then you went paragraphs in, detailing your rude mistake, like youre new to more than the area lol. Did you even look at the bottom of the screen below the listed menu items for that restaurant? Did you not wonder why there was AN ENTIRE LIST of other restaurants that this ordering service also included, besides this one? I can see an initial assumption being made in a hurry, but there are too many obvious details YOU missed not to at least wonder, "hmm, maybe im not on the right thing," or "what does this mean?" Some helpful advice, moving forward. Doordash provides delivery service to many restaurants. Some restaurants are franchises or like to provide delivery services to customers who dont have apps like doordash or uber. Because they dont typically have delivery drivers in store, they use delivery services like doordash to help out. Ive learned that ordering thru a service like that, with multiple separation from restaurant to you, includes multiple hassles. Doordash drivers are motivated to take the jobs provided by doordash customers the company offers because its in app, cut and dry, often incentives and guaranteed pay, but also subject to the companys safety protocols for them and you, and accountability. Thru another service, its like tryjng to get a temp, less money, more hassle, etc. Sometimes drivers skip the order, sometimes orders get stolen or dropped. When doordash delivers for rival ordering services, thats all they focus on and take responsibility for - if the driver said it was picked up and delivered. They aren't required to make guarantees. In fact, the driver is told to inform the customer that they delivered on behalf of the ordering service, and it was not a doordash order. That means they did their part, any and all assistance needed is the responsibility of the ordering service or restaurant. Usually the service, because they have to process your order, process your payment, pay the restaurant, pay the delivery service, provide delivery info to driver, try to get a review from you, update their collected data, improve their algorithms to get more interest or business, etc. Too many middle men. Consider that there's more out there than you may realize before you spew that kind of nonsense. "Deceitful..." pfft. Cheap choice, maybe, but those savings did trickle down to you too. If you had to pay closer to a doordash membership to order, you'd be pissed. I hope you apologize to the fellas in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointing. Horrible experience. New to area, googled pizza place near me and Slice of Italy came up. Good reviews. Went to website and saw Order pick up or Delivery. Decided to have them deliver. Placed order, paid, got confirmation email and text. Received second text saying pizza was on the way with an estimated delivery time.
No pizza came and since it was 10 min. past delivery time range, I called Slice of Italy. Spoke with āJesusā who said no one ever came and picked up the pizza. I said it was supposed to be delivered. To my shock, he explained that sometimes the company doesnāt have drivers and this happens.
I told him that itās a little deceitful that you are using a company called Slice that has the same name as your company. I told him that I thought I was ordering from him. He then informed me that Slice was Doordash. I told him if I knew that I would not have ordered the pizza.
I told him that I wanted to cancel the order because the pizza had been sitting there for so long and was no longer a fresh pizza. And, we had no idea when the pizza would be picked up. He informed me that I needed to call Slice. I had no number as I ordered from the Slice of Italy website, not an App of over the phone. He provided a number for me and said that he would talk with his manager about my suggestion to clarify on the website that Slice is a delivery company independent of Slice of Italy. Everyone might not know that.
Again, āJesusā was nice and very helpful but I donāt plan to patronize this establishment again as I feel a little deceived by the website being set up in a way that ācaused me to believe I was ordering from them and the fact that you are aware this happens,
I called the Slice Delivery Company and it was a nightmare. That will be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family recently returned to our favorite B&B in Terre Hill. We decided on a light dinner so we had take out from this local place. My son had a chicken tender dinner and my wife had a chef salad. Both were nice portions and tasty. Being a picky NJ Italian I couldnāt bring myself to try their true Italian fare, but they did ok with the American fare so next time Iām inclined to give a go. For a neighborhood place, you could do much worse.
We returned to Terre Hill and as promised we tried their pizza. Overall, pretty good. Er had a plain cheese pie. The crust was good, plenty of cheese and nice sauce. The wife once again had the antipasto salad and said it was very good. As a result Iām raising the overall...
