update 5.13.24 I've had to downgrade my review to a two star. Something has changed in the last few months, and it's not been a positive change. What used to be a nice substantial pile of meat on the taco is now reduced to about a teaspoon of meat spread along the bottom. It's quite pathetic now even compared to places like cowboy Taco. The taste is delicious which is why I'm keeping it at two star but today I ordered the barbacoa and the meat was soaking wet to the point My taco shells wanted to fall apart. I don't know just little things like that are the reason for my downgrade. And then today I noticed that they had elote so I ordered some. My mistake. I should have known from the taco meat scenario that things wouldn't be good. Almost $7 for a tiny little cup of cold refrigerated corn. It wasn't even room temperature. I'll probably give it 6 months to a year and try again in hopes that things improve. I'm sadly disappointed as I used to come here a couple times a week.
Previous review This taco joint serves the most incredible street tacos I've ever tasted. The flavors explode in every bite, and the variety of fillings is impressive. The authentic, fresh ingredients make each taco a culinary delight. Don't miss out on this hidden gem; it's a must-visit for taco...
Read moreWe have been going to this place since forever ago when the family used to work it. We go ther regularly. Today I walked in at 6:30 pm, placed an order for 2 lbs of barbacoa, a pack of corn tortillas, a dozen pork tacos and 4 joyas. The restaurant part was already closed and mopped (understandably so). I waited about 10 minutes, the teenage girl that took my order gave me my food and I left. When I got home the barbacoa was cold, not room temperature, simply cold! Looked at the tamales, the same thing. COLD! For the life of me I don’t understand why the kitchen ladies would think that is ok. And if they were already cleaning the kitchen they could have told the teenage girl that took my order that my food would be cold due to the kitchen being closed . There’s simply no justification for...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this tortillería, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The food lacked flavor, and the barbacoa they advertised wasn’t authentic barbacoa from a cow head, which was misleading. The cashier was very short with me and not friendly, when I asked if they used butter or oil on the grill (since I can’t have dairy), she just said, “I don’t know,” despite the kitchen being only a few feet away. She didn’t even bother to ask the cook.
I ended up ordering a tostada, but the shell was old and soggy, completely saturated with oil, which made it unappetizing. Overall, between the poor customer service, bland food, and low-quality tostada, I can’t recommend this place. Hopefully they improve both their food preparation and customer service...
