Uncle Jimmy’s Country Cookin’ feels like a county fair pulled up alongside old Highway 69 and decided to stay awhile! Owner Jimmy Doolittle turned this lot into a roomy barn of comfort food, live bands, and bright arcade lights, and capped it off with a hot pink Ferris wheel that spins whenever the Oklahoma sky decides to behave. Inside, you’ll find curly fries next to craft beer taps, a dance floor that wakes up on Friday nights, and a playful arcade corner. They serve everything from hearty plates of chicken fried steak to expensive cuts of ribeye, with something for every budget. There’s playground equipment for the kids, pickleball and darts for the adults, plus a mechanical bull and pool tables for anyone feeling up to it! It’s a little piece of Oklahoma charm, bright and welcoming on the side of the highway.

Oh My Gosh!!! Our waitress Tabatha and all the staff are wonderful!! We showed up with 2 more than our reservation to make 14 people and we were accommodated, we even moved tables because some of us were cold. Great Service! Then the food, wonderful food. Our group had everything from Country Fried Steak to Shrimp Salad and Burgers, I wish I'd have taken a picture because it looked beautiful and tasted great. We played games and rode the mechanical bull for a little family competition and had so much fun. The food is priced right and the games and bull are priced right. So much fun. Thanks! We came on Sunday afternoon and could not have asked for a better time. Thanks! Well it turns out we did get some pictures!

Came hungry, left hungry.

Have been looking forward to going to Uncle Jimmy’s for a while now. Tried to go last weekend and was quoted a two hr wait. Went to Captain John’s instead. Well on Friday at noon I made reservations online through Toast. I called and confirmed the reservations later in the day to make sure. Arrived at with my parents and three kids at 6:20 for our 6:30 reservations. They had a mix up and assumed they had seated us. After 15 minutes of standing watching walk ins get seats we were finally seated. Only after I told them we were still waiting. Took 8 minutes to get drink orders. We ordered food with drinks to speed up the process. We waiting for an hour and they finally brought out the kids pizza. They ate and became restless like the rest of our party. Still the rest of us sat. Empty handed. We finally had enough and had to stop some staff walking by to inform them we had finished waiting. We paid for the pizza and drinks and left. Honestly they should have just given us the pizza for the entire hassle of the whole thing. Non the less. Very unimpressed. I had heard the numerous complaints of wait times. I am now a statistic.

It’s not like there was lack of staff. Staff was everywhere. But there was a major gap in organization. There are some real issues in that kitchen that must be fixed.

A few other notes to Jimmy and staff. The entry area was hot. There was a mini split in that area but wasn’t on. This is a brand new facility and the door handle was missing on the men’s restroom. The atmosphere inside was nice though. The seating in the upper dining area was cramped. I had people’s butts hitting me all evening as we waited and waited. The high chairs have no straps to hold a toddler in.

I am now at home eating reheated...

My husband and I are just passing through and staying at the local camp ground. We stopped in around 5pm and our server was Jayden. She had only worked at UJ for approximately 2 weeks. She was an amazing server. She was pleasant and funny. She made me the best Peach tea I ever had. Also peach tea isn't on the menu, but she made it happen. However, the food was cold, it took 30 mins for it to come out, and I was asked excessively if we are having wine. Finally, I was told it was because they wanted to remove the wine glasses from our table, which is weird that they even have wine glasses on every table but no salt, pepper, or ketchup in a "Honky-tonk bar/steakhouse/carnival" I don't think Uncle Jimmy knows what he wants to be? Our corn queso was great! The 2 small bread rolls were not home made or even served warm. My cowboy salad was HOT. The arugula was warm, the dressing was warm, the cheese was almost melted. Salads are supposed to be served in a cold bowl, with Crisp arugula, with fresh from the fridge dressing. My husband ordered the sirloin medium well, with broccoli and curly fries. The fries were colder than my salad and nobody even offered any steak sauce that should have just been on the table. The steak was good, but luke warm at best, NOT hot, and the broccoli was saturated in butter. Over all.. Jayden kept the peach tea and Dr. Pepper coming. She was attentive and we enjoyed our banter with her. We did not complain about the food to anyone but if a salad is being put under a heat lamp while you cook a steak, you probably have bigger problems than a luke warm steak.

We killed time waiting for our food by swatting at the flies with the bougie napkins that also felt out of place for a...

The food took over an hour and a half to two hours to come out. Wasn’t given my full order initially. Had to chase down the server. I ordered the vegetable medley and it was hot and cold squash and zucchini cut in chunks. The entertainment sucked. The “DJ” played YouTube the whole time on a big screen. We asked if he could play a song and he denied it cause it “wouldn’t go over well with the customers”. When he played butt shaking music and nickelback. We didn’t ask for a nasty song. It was just a rock song that doesn’t have any bad lyrics. He continued to play the same stuff and only played one song we asked for. We went over to the jukebox that was lit up and he told us it didn’t work because he unplugged it. We couldn’t have any of our songs played. He denied all of our requests. Again they weren’t bad songs. There were also kids running around the bar setting. My friend went to go claim her arcade prizes and the girl in the front told her she didn’t care what she wanted. She just gave it to her because she had a bad night. My other friends ordered a drink from the bar and it wasn’t what she wanted and she couldn’t get assistance for 30 minutes. And she was trying to get their attention. While also waiting for food they got their order wrong and it was 4 very small...
