Now, why not five stars, you ask? Well, call me old-fashioned, but I prefer my meals without a side of political brainwashing. The TVs blaring propaganda networks make it hard to focus on the important things in life, like whether to order the cheese logs or the boudin egg rolls as a starter.

In conclusion, 82 Eats is a solid four-star experience. The food is great, the service is lovely, and if you can tune out the constant barrage of "breaking news," you'll have a fantastic time. Read reviews about how long the wait was before folks received their order, so went for an early dinner. Received the order within 30 minutes. Waitress was great, service wonderful, atmosphere was pleasant.

Now, the food. We ordered the catfish plate with fries. Side choices were beans, slaw, OR fries, not all 3 like most places, only 1. Our waitress added beans at no charge. Catfish was good, beans were bland, fries were terrible-like they had been hanging around for a while. My friend rated 2-star and said would not return.

I ordered the Junkyard Dog, a bacon wrapped dog that arrived on 2 regular hot dog buns with mustard, ketchup, grated cheese and sour krout. It had not been heated, so the cheese fell off, and barely had krout or anything else. I was very disappointed.

I was impressed that the manager came by to ask about the food and listened to our opinion. He did admit that the dog was done incorrectly and would correct the staff.

I’ve ordered here a few times My first order, my tomatoes looked and tasted like they were days old. I ordered a regular cheeseburger. Not impressed.

Second time just leave the tomatoes and Mayo off otherwise you’ll end up with soggy buns and old tomatoes. Do try the jalapeño bun tho. It’s really good.

Third time…. Ugh ordered a fried chicken sandwich. Well the tomatoes were freshly cut today but they were a bit green. So four times now they can’t put a decent tomato on a plate. This chicken is so tiny and overcooked 😩 left me eating a dried out almost burnt fried chicken strip. Won’t order that again!

clams…. Please stop overcooking them!!!!

The onion rings (5 of them ) they were good. Pricey but good.
