The food was excellent! The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was basic and simple... Nonetheless, it was the simplicity that made it a wonderful experience; reminiscent of my local "mom-&-pop" shop servicing our community. Having said that, I met and spoke with the owner (Greg) and he said that this summer will make 24 years in business. Try to find another local restaurant that has been serving Texarkana for nearly a quarter century... I know of no other! Neighbors and friends, it's important to get out there and show some love to our local shops and restaurants. This food is good medicine. I had fried fish: perfectly cooked, crispy with a thin crumb coating. The meat flaked off the bones. Don't get me started on the Mac and Cheese. It was phenomenal.
The staff were cheerful and friendly and made us feel right at home. I get the feeling you could get a variety of foods here each day, and the place was clean and well-maintained.
