Delicious! I was looking for a local place for this type of food that was fresher than a lot of the other options. I really appreciate that everything is made to order, so they can accommodate customizations. The servings were generous. I'll review each dish we tried:
Sweet and sour chicken: normally I don't like takeout chicken because of the texture, but this felt and tastes fresh and freshly fried. The sauce was dynamic and flavorful. Orange Fried Tofu: the tofu was a little bland and moist, it could have benefitted from being pressed & tossed in cornstarch before fryng. That said the quantity was generous, and the sauce delicious! Pork with black bean curd: I'm not too big on pork, but I actually liked this. The bean curd in particular was really dense and chewy, super tasty! Crab ragoons: the only menu item I might not order again. They just weren't very crabby.
Overall, I think this place slightly gets a bad rep on flavor because they don't use msg. I'm personally okay with msg, but I've also noticed a lot of takeout uses so much of it, you lose all the rest of the flavors. Their food isn't hiding behind excessive salt and msg, it's flavorful and fresh on its own. I don't feel that heavy unease of too much oil after my meal, and this feels like somewhere I could est on a regular basis - not just for an indulgent treat....

Finally a very good Asian option to replace the declining Chin Chins from Mattawan. I like MSG, it’s has a false bad health perception. However restaurants aren’t using it anymore making it difficult to obtain that delicious savory Asian flavor. However Z&W apparently slow cooking techniques and quality ingredients expertly cover MSGs absence. We had the Pork Szechuan and Chicken Lo Mein. Both were very good because of the the quality meats and ingredients such as mushrooms and bamboo. Excellent kitchen prep as the ingredients are finely cut rather than lazy big chunky pieces. They provide great flavors (a tad too salty) and outstanding texture. I look forward to trying different options in the future. So where is the opportunity??
OPPORTUNITY for Z&W is the amount of oil used in their process. Both dishes had excessive oil which both my wife and i immediately determined with the first bite. You can actually see it in this review’s picture. I recommend decreasing oil use in preparation. As a result the food with taste better and actually be healthier. In addition Z&W will save money in oil costs, as I assume they use sesame oil.
I will definitely update my review to 5-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ next time with reduced oil and all else being...

First of all, calibrate yourself. If you're looking for a fine dining experience with mood lighting, fancy cocktails and a server attending to your every whim than this isn't the right spot! Z&W's is a simply decorated, doesn't serve alcohol, and has limited staff.
However, if you're looking for a place that has both American-Chinese and Authentic-Chinese food that tastes incredible and is served by super friendly people in a clean and hospitable environment, look no further. You've found dinner (or lunch)!!!
We started with the best crab rangoons I have ever had in my life. Perhaps that doesn't say much since I don't usually care for rangoons, but my wife is an affiniato and she LOVED them!
The rest of dinner was from the "Authentic Sichuan Menu" My wife had Lamb Sichuan Style and I had Sichuan Dan Dan Noodle. Both were exceptional and the proportions were large (wish I had taken pictures). Overall, we had a great experience at a very reasonable price point. This is our new #1 spot in the region for...
