My first time here and I loved everything from the food to the service, prices and atmosphere. The owner, Lena is very hands on and super sweet. I absolutely recommend having a delicious meal at this fantastic diner!
Adding on to my original review. 2nd time is definitely a charm. Got a chance to return for lunch at Lena’s and the food was so yummy (best fries) and the service was fast. This diner has become my ‘go-to’ when visiting from out of town.
I just have to keep adding to this review because each time I drive from Long Island to Honesdale, I make it a point to eat here. The food and service is incredible. Lena and her staff are so hard-working and super friendly. I had my very favorite Roast Beef club (4th time) because it’s the BEST ever. My boyfriend had the most juicy plump cheeseburger, so delicious!! Shout out to the COOKS, your food Rocks!
Back again! Great to be here! Greeted with all warm smiles fast service and delicious food! Lena’s is absolutely my ‘go-to’ spot for the friendly, attentive service and mouth-watering...
Read moreI have driven past this little cafe twice a day since I was 16 (11 years ago) and have always though to myself. One day I'm gunna stop in there. It took till I was 27yo to come in on a sunday with my girlfriend. Just to check it out and have a nice breakfast.
Now call me weird but I have a huge affection for biscuits and sausage gravy..huge! And I definitely have a lot of bias on my breakfast based on my B&G. Let me tell you. I was not let down.
I got 2 eggs over easy, side of bacon and rye toast and an order of there B&G. And I was not only stuffed (practically had to be rolled out the front door) but was very satisfied! The eggs were perfect the bacon was both crispy with some nice soft fat (my favorite) and my B&G was delicious. Coffee was scolding and savory. I can't be mad at myself enough for waiting so long.
Please give this place a try, sometimes its slammed on the weekends but it totally work the crowd. I will be back time...

My husband had to go back up front just to get someone’s attention. After finally receiving menus, we were again left waiting, unsure who our server was, as several staff members walked by without engaging us. Eventually, we had to flag someone down to place our order.
When the food arrived, it wasn’t worth the wait. The omelets were soggy and topped with cold canned mushrooms that seemed thrown on as an afterthought. The coffee was stale and overcooked. There were no sides or garnishes served with the omelet, making it feel incomplete and lacking in value.
With so many great places to eat in the area, I can’t recommend Lena’s based on this experience. We were hoping for a cozy, satisfying breakfast and left...
