1117 Smokehouse and Saloon. Barbecue — Restaurant in Texas

Honestly I keep meaning to leave a review here. This place is a bit out of the way, but more than worth the stop. The BBQ here.. I ordered two take home plates for my dad and I, got some brisket and chicken, but then remembered how good their ribs were, and ended up getting a plate of ribs to eat in the cute little restaurant as well.. I really love their ribs. I prefer their brisket over HEBs "True Texas BBQ" to be honest. And the couple that works here are so kind and friendly. They're open every weekend and it really is worth the stop, I also got a chocolate cake with cherries in it that had no business being so yummy! Holy cow! These folks have THE BEST fried catfish! I am ADDICTED to their fish! It's incredibly tender, lightly breaded, and the taste is AMAZING!! No "muddy" taste! It's delicious and juicy! The Mac and cheese is fantastic, as is the coke slaw! I also tried the brisket, and it was also out of this world!

They are only open Friday and Saturday, but I'm planning on enjoying their fish every week!

The portions are generous, and prices are reasonable.

The service is excellent and very customer friendly! It's also a good place to stop with the family.

Complete back road Roadhouse.... I passed the sausage link as you see in photo.... My mouth still waters... Service is excellent, the lady owner, Nancy, had her adoption on as well .. laid back atmosphere you can eat inside, outside in their patio or like me , came across the parking lot to the general store and purchased an adult beverage and sat on the patio out front there... It was a very enjoyable ride out to 1117...
