Waste of Time. Waste of Money. Bad Service. Bad Food. Warm Beer. Threw it all away.

I will start by saying the atmosphere is very nice. But that is where it ends. Today, May 23, 2017, my wife, mother, 2 year old son and I stopped in for our first visit. We drive by twice a week coming back to Canyon Lake from visiting in San Antonio. After 7 months in the area, we stopped. They opened at 11, and our arrival was about 11:15.

We were greeted by a young lady who didnt have a personality. She never smiled and obviously did not want to be there. The beer had just been put into coolers at the order line, and she said she had cold ones behind. I ordered a chicken fried steak, while my mom and wife both ordered burgers and fries.

We sat outside so the kid could play. The beer I was given had maybe been put in the fridge 45 minutes earlier. While the bottle gave me the idea it was cold, it was likely no less than 50 degrees. Far from beer serving temperature. I drank three drinks and ended up throwing the rest away. Flies seemed bad outside and when the food came out and we got attacked. Within minutes, we carried our food inside. Two people saw up and never asked us if they could help, OR HOLD THE DAMN DOOR WHILE THEY STARE AT US.

My Chicken fried steak 'looked' impressive. Looked like it was an inch and a half thick. It was amazing how much crust was on it. While I took half the crust off and dug into the steak I was quickly shocked. It was tough. It was dry. It seemed to be poorly seasoned. I ate about 15% of it. My side was Fried Okra. Zero flavor. The okra tasted like it came out of a can. I highly doubt it was frozen and know it was not fresh. I ate about 4 of the okra pieces out of about 40. My side salad had ranch dressing that wasn't warm - but it certainly was not cold. The spring mix which they probably picked up at HEB was nothing special and had two pieces of lettuce that I pulled off because it looked slimy. I took 4 bites. For the first time in my adult life and I am 36, and have traveled for work for 12 years eating at restaurants all over the world, this is the first time in memory where I did not eat at least 1/5th of my plate.

The burger that my wife ate was dry. Feels like a policy here to serve dry overcooked meat. The burger than my mother had was dry. My mother ordered her medium rare, while my wife ordered hers medium. They were both done about medium well. They both agreed that the flavor - with cheese, bacon, etc - was not bad, but that they wouldnt spend the money on a burger there again with Canyon City Grille, Luckys, and Baja all within 4 minutes of our house.

We went there with such excitement - and left with such disappointment. It has not been 1 hour since we left that place as...

I have been into Beefy's On the Green many time, and most of the time it has been excellent, but nothing compares to what I saw today. As I was waiting for my to go order, the kitchen sent out 2 cheeseburgers, which one was incorrect, the cook (with his long hair hanging out of his hat, came picked up the wrong one from the lady who ordered it, took it to the kitchen and I know good and well just swapped out the patty. The customer did not look pleased, the cook blamed it on the cashier, but the cashier showed him it was one cheeseburger and one hamburger. Then I guess it made the cooks mad, I heard the little blonde cook say something to the effect of "what the f**k". and it was said loud enough for not only myself to hear ( I was standing at the bar waiting on my to go order) but so did the lady who was sitting at the 1st booth. Then the other cook, the guy, threw one Styrofoam container up under the heat lamps then tossed another which fell off the top of the 1st so was leaning sidways, needless to say this was my order, then he tossed the tickets which went onto the floor between the kitchen and cash register. The cashier bagged it up and handed it to me, I told her I had only ordered one burger, this was the 2nd mistake in two orders by the cooks. The cashier, tried to show the cook it was one #2 lunch special I did not understand what he said to her, but the attitude of the cooks was completely uncalled for. When I looked at my burger once I got into my car, the top bun and lettuce was spread out over my fries. If I would have had time, I would have taken it back in, but since it already took over 15 minutes to cook it I had to go on. I will return and next time I will check my...

Beefys Our family have been coming to your place since 2012, and also the old place by Stone Oak. Our Son also worked for yall when he was in High School after graduation he quit went to the navy. We have always been welcomed and made feel like apart of the Beefys family. When the other Beefys was sold for the expansion on 281. The food started changing. No more fresh anything but all frozen. But we stayed loyal and very supportive to our Beefys community. Over the years the food and prices have become absurd. Today we didn't feel like cooking so we ordered food for pick up for 3 people. 3 burgers and 3 fries $48.00 I placed the order at 5:11 picked it up at 5:23. Got home opened the food and all I can say is what the actual hell is going on? Buns on all 3 were soggy and greasy. Meat bland no flavor. Fries we cold and old. Beefys what is going on??? I am shocked and disgusted at the quality of food you gave to me to take home to my family. What has changed? Have the times gotten that bad now that this is the quality of food you provide on a regular basis?. This is not the first time Our food has been this way. Numerous times it has been bad and my wife fixes it and makes it eatable at home for us. Beefys make this right. As a loyal customer that had our kids grow up there after baseball, football, basketball, practice games, Family outings ect. Please bring the good...

First time back in a while and it's fairly busy. I ordered the lunch special cheeseburger. It is a 5-in burger with a good amount of fries for the $11. Came with a drink too. I had the iced tea. The French fries are the standard frozen type but they came out hot and fresh. It was a big plus. The burger on the other hand was pretty bland. It's a standard round frozen patty just warmed up. Gray on the outside pink on the inside. No browning, char, or flavor at all. Tasted mostly of the sweet bun and mustard. I only ended up eating half. Service was great though. So if you are looking for a milder tasting burger, this might be your spot.

This was our first visit. This place was awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My double burger with cheese, bacon, and fried egg was delicious. It was somewhere between 2/3 and 1 pound of meat. We also got chili cheese fries. One serving was easily enough for two people. The first time we saw their sign we thought, "Any burger place that calls themselves Beefy's is a place we need to go." Believe me, they did not disappoint. Put this place on your Hill Country burger bucket list. We will be back.

Beefy’s is the perfect little burger joint, just look for the jumbo golf ball! Great options of assorted burgers, fresh salads, delicious apps, sandwiches & desserts! Try the sweet & spicy margarita, fried pickles (best ranch around), grilled chicken burger, atomic burger & farm burger. Curly fries are great as well & the homemade honey mustard is delicious! Large portions so you won’t leave hungry. Family friendly atmosphere with seating both inside & out complete with play area for the kiddos.
