Absolutely loved this place until a couple months ago. I’ve been so angry I’m just getting around to writing a calm review. My family brought my daughter here for dinner after a funeral she attended. She was wearing all black, and was the only one doing so. I guess they thought she was satanic or something because the staff was whispering and staring at her the ENTIRE MEAL. The treatment she received was ATROCIOUS. When it was her turn to tell what she wanted to order, she was barely greeted, acknowledged, or spoken to, and she received bad looks the entire meal. It got to where my daughter teared up because of how a young woman of the staff that always wears a long skirt kept staring and making mean faces at her. We had never been treated this way before at this place, and can only guess it was the dark clothing since they were staring ONLY at my daughter and treating her differently. We left early, and she cried when we got into the car. Shame on this company. Nobody should be treated this way for wearing all back. She was coming from a funeral. But some people aren’t, and it shouldn’t matter what clothes people wear. Absolute insane treatment. The food here is really good. But if you like to wear black, or are coming alone from a funeral, steer clear or they might attempt to label you, even just by your young ones wearing black and mourning the loss of a friend.
EDIT: although I no longer eat inside here because of the judgement we received in funeral clothing, we decided to give it another try in the call in/order pick up. I don’t know if they got a new cook, changed the recipe, or just order cheaper supplies, but the grilled catfish tasted TERRIBLE. They had our order wrong, so we had to wait about 10 minutes for a correct order. We actually didn’t mind that. But every single piece of catfish, and we ordered 10, was badly seasoned, rubbery, and tasted like mud. The fries were cold and the pickles fries were mostly fried outer shells with no pickle inside. We were angry we spent almost $40 for 2 people for inedible food. We’ve decided to no longer eat here, inside or out. The judgment is terrible inside, and the food isn’t worth the price...

Read moreThis is a cute seafood and burgers style family owned diner. You order at the counter and take a number to your table, and they bring the food to your table. They have good fried seafood plates, crispy hushpuppies, and tasty shrimp scampi. I have also enjoyed their burgers, po-boys, and crab cakes. My 5 star review does extend to their desserts as well. Delicious moist chocolate cake with German chocolate style frosting and their pies chocolate cream, coconut cream, and key lime are delicious. The chocolate cake is my favorite personally. If you like nuts and coconut in your frosting, you must try it! We have dined he several times, and the owners come around and say hello, deliver the food, and check in with you. The only thing I have tried that we were not fond of was the fried oysters, and the coleslaw needs a little more mayo. They also have a station where you can make your own cocktail sauce with instructions for first timers. This restaurant is clean and friendly, and they also have a drive through pick up window for orders. Please check it out and support this family...
