Creative Cakes by Monica — Restaurant in Texas

my sons 7th birthday was on the 28th which was a Monday my wife went to see about a cake from them a week before then. they said yes they could do it and it would look exactly like the picture we gave to them. so we showed up Monday at 10am being it was the earliest they said you could pick up the cake. My wife says to the guy at the front counter we are here to pick up the cake he just looks at us and laughed and the lady that my wife order the cake from rushed out and says on Monday you cant pick up at 10 for some reason she didn't explain. which makes no sense when you have all week to call us and tell us hey you cant pick up early. so we didn't panic and they said it would be a hour and a half before they would be done. we came back at 12 and they were not done. they just need to put on the finishing touches on it. my little boy was with us and saw the cake as the guy brought it out. see my little boy did not see the picture we gave them cause it was suppose to be a surprise. My wife and I smiled as he brought it out for my son to see when we saw the cake our smiles soon turn to frowns as this looked like a cake that was made by a child which was funny when they said they were bringing a specialist to make the little figurines. they looked like someone smashed something together. I would never recommend this place to anyone . the people looked like they were hung over. the staff seems like they don't have it together. the cake tasted as if it was old and stale. we asked for a circle and they gave us a square cake. I have a cake with only three slices out of it sitting in my fridge . I honestly want to return the cake it would make a better door stop then something I would feed to my guest we were lucky that our son is such a sweet little boy and didn't realize what was going on. my father in law brought a cake from Albertsons being that he didn't know we special ordered one that had more flavor then this cake. its not always you get what you pay for cause he paid $16.00 and I paid $90.00 most expensive door stop I ever bought or will buy. if I could give them a negative star it would be a negative 5 stars. the health inspector should really shut...

We were looking for two amazing smash cakes for our sons’ first birthday. We don’t usually spend money on things like this but this was a VERY SPECIAL occasion. Our first boys’ Birthday. I asked for a “thing 1” and “thing 2” cake with bright pink cake on the inside. We asked for the cakes to be ready at 12. Noon. On the phone all details were confirmed and said it would be ready to our request and on time. We got there at 12:20 and was told there was a delay, to come back in an hour. We went to eat and killed some time. Came back an hour and ten minutes later. Still not ready. Was told they were almost finished. Stood there for 30-40 minutes. The outside of the cakes were great. But when it was finally time to smash the cakes, the first cake was broken open, it was all bright white cake. No pink what so ever. The second was broken open and again not bright pink, just the light pink that made it strawberry flavoring. I had to stop my husband from videoing and to take pictures. This was supposed to be perfect as I was taking professional pictures. I can NEVER recreate that moment. We wanted it to be real. The pictures of them smashing their cakes on their Birthdays. I was extremely disappointed in the experience I had with Creative Cakes by Monica. When my husband and I met with her the first time and went through a horrible crazy storm to get there she would not waive the delivery fee and we went out of our way by over 2 hours to get to her. She not only did my cake wrong after I had sent over emails and photos of what I wanted, each time I called prior to our date to confirm everything I got put on hold and talked with multiple different people that never relayed the messages to her. She never called me back and I NEVER got to speak with her before my wedding day. She didn't bring the cake topper I wanted and tried to charge me extra for it. Then, she brought a cake stand that I didn't need and I had called to explain to her I didn't need it and was going to charge me $25 if I didn't return it to her after my wedding day. I was furious, I asked the manager whom was the only helpful one after my wedding day what she could do for me since I was unhappy and she said all she could do was give me a gift card for $25 why would I use a gift card to your store if I was not happy.. seriously don't use her for your...
