Freeman Consolidated Dining Facility — Restaurant in Texas

I've gotten food poisoning here twice. The food is either overcooked to the point of being shoe leather, raw in the middle, soggy, or cold. The drink machines are constantly running empty- and the staff act like you're inconveniencing them by asking them to refill it. The hours randomly change, suddenly leaving you without food. If I could collect BAS and cook for myself, I would do that instead. But for now, I'm stuck either walking to another DFAC miles away, or playing Russian Roulette with my meal. The food was okay, but the customer service was atrocious. I don't pay money to have some SSG on a power trip pull rank (I am a SGT) and talk to me like an idiot. It's a good thing he is not medical; guys like him get taken off the line and put somewhere (hopefully) they can do the least damage to the organization's reputation.

This dfac is very spontaneous. One day it seems like the best dfac on post. Then the next day it's like the worst dfac on post. Whatever you do, don't eat here on the weekend. It's almost like they're just serving scraps leftover from friday. Don't plan on having a beverage with your meal either, because the beverage machines are usually empty.
