This is a fantastic hidden gem Tex-Mex restaurant! My favorite meal here so far is the blackened red fish, which I haven't tasted better anywhere else. Don't let the unassuming outside of this restaurant fool you because inside, they really know how to cook great food! Came here for lunch during the workday and heard word of mouth rave reviews about their redfish before so I had to try it. The staff greeted us and let us pick out our own table. They immediately brought out our drinks and took our order which was served up rather quick! This means a lot during the middle of a workday that there's no long wait time for lunch. We ordered the fried mushrooms appetizer with a homemade style Ranch dressing. The mushrooms were deep fried and cooked perfectly without being too greasy or too heavy of a focus on the fried crust. Next came the blackened red fish which was served with a type of fried rice and also a side basket of fries. *Fish can be either really good or really bad and thankfully this restaurant makes fantastic redfish that taste like it just came out of the water. The Cajun black and seasoning was not over salty or overwhelming and complemented the filet of redfish really well! The rice was a nice addition to the fish and the fries are always just fun to eat! The staff was super friendly and really personable. They work hard to make sure that you have a nice dining experience and they definitely kept up their end of the bargain! The restaurant is welcoming and what you would expect from a Texas diner. The tables are kept very clean, and it was a really enjoyable experience. A definite two big thumbs up! The food quality, the price, the staff and the overall dining experience was really enjoyable! I highly recommend if you got time to stop in here and grab yourself fantastic piece of...
Read moreWe wanted something different from the regular places we would go to, so my wife found Gabby's. It was a little ways out 25 minutes for us,but it was mostly fm roads, I love them so it was a nice drive. When I got there I pulled up in a gravel parking lot and it was a restaurant connected to a country store, and I thought well I bet they probably have some good hamburgers or fried foods, but my wife sent me to get the seafood she had ordered. Now I had to drive back with this food and still questioning whether we should have came out here to get seafood, but the smell was incredible so I probably went a little faster than I should have to get home I was anxious to try this feast. We had fried shrimp, coconut shrimp, fried catfish, onion rings, and even a hamburger. I can't tell you what was our favorite only because it was all incredible, even after sitting in the boxes on the 15 minute drive home. We will definitely make this a normal eating spot for us, and the prices are just so reasonable. Thank...
Read moreThe food here is amazing, and I've never had anything I didn't like. I love their Garlic Buffalo Chicken sandwich with American cheese. My wife loves their blackened catfish with fried rice and steamed vegetables. You gotta save room for the churro cheesecake as it is to die for. The staff is friendly, and you MUST order their corn nuggets as an appetizer. I love supporting small businesses since I have a small business called Texas Blue Courage Company LLC.
