Golden Lotus Thai Food — Restaurant in Texas

Made a mistake by placing a DoorDash order for pickup on Saturday evening. The place was swamped and I was lucky to find someone leaving so I could park. Had I not, I would have had to park a quarter mile away on the Boerne Stage Road shoulder - - not safe.

Our order was ready on time so pickup was fast. The workers were friendly.

My wife got the kids chicken fried rice with two spring rolls. She gave it a 5/10. Wasn't very flavorful. Spring roll wrappers were greasy. The portion was very generous.

Golden Lotus' Basil Fried Rice with beef is more than just a dish to me now. It's a mindset. A state of being. I've been eating it almost every week for over a year since I moved down the street last March. It has changed my life. This is now the standard to which all other food is compared. I didn't think that a food item could become a personal mantra, or an era-defining fixture in a person's life, but I now feel that way about this meal.  It's an inspirational thing that I look forward to that gets me through the week. When you come to the Point, you have a number of amazing food choices because only the best of the best are there. It is next to impossible for me to stray from the Golden Lotus when I'm out there though. The food at Golden Lotus is always spot on! The ingredients, the spice levels, the portion sizes....everything is great! This is my "go to" when I'm at the Point (with the new kid on the block, Erik's Gyros, being a close second).
