I finally visited Heads or Tails, and ordered a "Brisket Sandwich." The menu clearly listed sliced brisket as the first option, which is exactly what I wanted. However, when I got home and opened the order, I was disappointed to find that I had been given chopped beef instead. The cashier should have made sure to clarify my order, especially when there are different options available. The chopped beef was not to my liking—it was overly sweet, old, reheated and drenched in BBQ sauce, which I didn't expect or enjoy. Clear communication is crucial, and I hope this issue is addressed so other customers don’t have the same experience.
Let me educate the experts of Heads of Tails. A chopped beef sandwich is beef that has been shredded or chopped into small pieces, mixed with barbecue sauce or other seasonings. It's usually made from various cuts of beef, not necessarily from the brisket cut.
A brisket sandwich, on the other hand, specifically uses brisket, a cut from the lower chest of the cow. The brisket is typically cooked low and slow, resulting in tender, flavorful slices of meat. It’s often served with minimal additional ingredients to showcase the quality and taste of the brisket itself.

Read moreWe can't say enough about this place. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They care about their customers and that's in short supply these days. Crawfish season has been wonderful. Always fresh and no shortage on flavor. I've had all of them and none disappointed. If crawfish isn't your thing they have the best BBQ I've eaten in a long time. The smoke and flavor is too die for. So juicy and tender. Loaded baked potatoes that's enough for 2 people. They have food for everyone even the kiddos. They have a Playscape for the lil ones and sometimes a bounce house. We're told that after the crawfish season is over they are going to start doing seafood and even steak night. Im sure those steaks will be as good as the BBQ. If your in Livingston or just passing thru you have to come for a bite to eat. It's always BYOB. Food is made fresh to order and it's...
Read moreFinally ate here for the first time after seeing many people recommend it on Facebook. We stopped in and got a cooler of crawfish (we live 30+ minutes away). The crawfish were all small to be this far in the season, they weren’t purged very well as they were very gritty and they had no flavor just tasted like the water they were cooked in. Very bland and toward the bottom of our batch they started to have a soured taste. If we had ate there i would have asked them to fix it or for a refund but we took them home. I wanted to like them since I had seen them recommended so much but unfortunately that just wasn’t the case. The staff was very...
