Hippo Burgers — Restaurant in Texas

Probably the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. Went today on 5/9/2025. I ordered a number 3 which had bacon instead of ordering a regular burger and paying to add bacon. The number 3 had few items on it such as the jalapeños that I wanted left off. I asked for mustard and ketchup even shows it in the receipt. I get my burger and the first thing I see is the jalapeños so I take it back to the front counter. She stood up at the front counter and said blatantly to my face I didn't order it like that arguing with me when it clearly shows it on the receipt what I asked for. Instead of getting to mad I was like remake it. Well they didn’t. They had wiped all the stuff off and brought the same burger back within a minute. At that point I was mad and I wanted my money back kept demanding it while she kept arguing with me that’s what I ordered. She finally got the manager and they both basically said whatever comes on the order or meal couldn’t be changed. I told him that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of it’s expected at restaurant at like Hell’s Kitchen but not here. I’m not even sure if I’ll ever get my money back because they were both clueless. They said 3-5 days and I asked for a receipt for the refund and they couldn’t even...

Omg this place is soooooo OVERPRICED & food was extremely average. Everything was priced too high. The kids meal didn’t even come with a drink. The tender kids meal didn’t even include bbq sauce. That guy said it was extra! What restaurant doesn’t include sauce? The service was terrible & the atmosphere was empty that should have been a sign to me. Anyone attempting to eat here should continue to Gears rd & go to Rack Shack! Never again. I’m sure this business won’t last. It’s in a community where average ppl live, including me. I’m already a big Hippo Burger fan, so totally biased. This location seems new. Everything is so fresh and so clean, clean. Burgers tasted so fresh, hot and delicious. Of course, seasoned perfectly. Of course, the garlic fries are the best. For the first time, had a shake. Good taste, but very liquidy/watery, not thick like a shake. My biggest problem with Hippo Burgers is that they use Pepsi products. However, this location, also sold canned cokes! YAY! The outdoor area is really nice and huge. Would be perfect...
