I wrote my review on help too but read before wasting money here: READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING: I went through Gainesville, I was looking for some food late night and I like good Indian food, so I was looking for some in the area & this place popped up when I searched for Indian food on Yelp in Gainesville. I wasnât sure what to except but I felt fairly confident based on the other reviews, but I was highly mistaken. The place itself is located in a gas station and combined with other food places and I already placed the order on the phone with one of the workers. When it was time for me to pick up the order, they got my order wrong (I ordered a Kadai Paneer, Aloo Gobi and garlic naan & maybe one other entree) and they tried to give me the Palek Paneer since they misheard it on the phone and thatâs spinach curry⊠It looks nothing like Kadai paneer and when I told them it was wrong, instead of fixing it, they put it in another container and still wanted me to pay for it. Whenever Iâd ask for a refund, then thatâs when the man offered to make it over, but every single entrĂ©e was very greasy like more grease than food, the garlic naan wasnât really that good, tasted like regular naan with a little garlic on it⊠I had better and this place seems unsanitary because I did not see him wear gloves the entire time and itâs already at a gas station⊠And thereâs not a lot of ambience except little tables and Iâm very confused about all the positive reviews I guess most people donât care if their food is sanitary, edible or greasy, but if thereâs any other choice of food you like in the area then, I would go anywhere but here. Donât be fooled by all the positive reviews. The people were generally nice, but thereâs better places and I wasted so much money and they donât give refunds nor do they care about the actual customers. This was definitely my worst experience at a Indian place and...
Read moreThis is such a hidden gem. We came here on a recommendation from a friend and were originally confused to find it in a gas station building. DONT let that run you off. I've had Indian food from upscale places all over the country in my military days that weren't nearly as amazing as this. The owner is amazingly personable and he is dedicated to service. I was getting over a cough and when he noticed me coughing he was worried the spice was too much for me and offered to add some cream sauce to my curry. He was so excited by how pleased we were with his food he gave us samples of a few other things just to be able to have us try it. He's a chef from the Disney cruise lines trying to settle down and I just KNOW that if people give him a chance he'll turn this into a one of a kind location. He cooks from his soul and you can tell. If youâre looking for a fancy date, this isnât the place yet. If youâre looking for food that will make you close your eyes in pure joy while supporting a small ownerâs dream, this is the one. (As an added bonus the leftovers are just as amazing the second...
Read moreTalk about the best kept secret in Texas. By far the most delicious Indian food I have ever had. Donât let the fact that itâs located in a gas station stop you from trying it. I promise you will want to come back for more. You can smell the fragrant spices when you enter the store. But that still didnât prepare me for the delightful meal I was about to devour. I ordered the chicken biryani. The rice was fluffy and flavorful and the meat was so tender moist and full of flavor. My friend ordered butter chicken. I forget what my other girlfriends ordered. I was busy eating :). I dipped every bite of my garlic naan in the butter chicken sauce. Yum yum. My mouth is watering right now lol. The chef was so friendly. I had to know more about him. Turns out he grew up in India and he was a chef on a Disney Cruise Ship. Thanks to the pandemic he had to start new. Gainesville is one lucky town to have this talented chef. There is love in his food. You can taste it. ...
