We've been coming here for years. The dozen of tamales has always been $12 exactly. Then, it came to our surprise that they went up a penny, and then some more extra change, up to around a quarter. We obviously didn't have a problem paying extra change, because it was always a gamble with the flavor. Sometimes the tamales would be too dry, no flavor, just masa, or actually pretty good, on a good day I guess. They use to be wide, flat, and big. Then looking back, they got a little skimpier on the masa, so it made the tamales look smaller. We didn't mind though, because it was only a dollar per tamale. Well today, we ordered a dozen, and the price went up rapidly! The price was $14.01 ! I honestly couldn't believe that they went up a whole $2, in such little of time. We were shocked of course. The tamales have been maintaining their flavor, but they do appear smaller, with less meat, and for the price of $14. I really enjoyed doing business with them, but I probably won't be doing business with them anymore, because of the higher price and the smaller portion. I'm actually more...
Read moreEvery time I came here I have not been disappointed. The drive through is a definite plus. Menudo is absolutely amazing! I’d stay it’s a tie with. My top favorite place where I use to get my menudo. Tamales are good, charro beans are delicious only thing we had too much weenies and not enough beans. Might of been how they poured it. Shrimp cocktail has a great flavor, also not made with ketchup like some places which I do not like mine with ketchup. They could of added more veggies because I felt as if was more juice, it had plenty of shrimp. The shrimp a slightly different taste but wasn’t bad. Their asado is delicious and not hot, just a slight spice. Overall besides those couple things I mentioned I will continue...
Read moreWanted Mexican food on our drive to Dallas. Read the great reviews so stopped here. What a mistake! Ordered the smothered brisket burritos. They were smothered with a nacho cheese sauce, literally. Never seen anything like that. Mexican food is our favorite. The brisket in the burrito was decent, but only lukewarm. My daughter couldn’t even finish it because the cheese sauce was so disgusting. When there’s a sign at the counter that states that they don’t need to hear rude comments about the taste, timing and presentation of the food and that you must pay even if you aren’t happy with the food, there’s your first clue. Unfortunately, we didn’t see that until too late. Only writing this so you can learn from...
