Ya’ll have got to try this place! Leroy’s food is absolutely fantastic! This little spot on the side of 290 may not look like some of “the other” Fredericksburg eateries; but the food and staff are absolutely amazing! Everyone there knew exactly about the menu items and were knowledgeable about the flavors. Their helpful assistants helped us pick exactly what we wanted. They only serve burgers on Wednesday, so if you’re there on a Wednesday, DO IT!! You won’t be disappointed. I was expecting a run of the mill brisket style burger, but wow was I wrong. Leroy’s Smash Burger came out huge, and full of delicious flavors! Definitely a gourmet burger with its bacon, onion jam and smash sauce! My burger actually looked better than the picture that is pictured in the menu. And the few dill pickles layered on the bottom, took the taste over the top!! Not greasy and surprisingly not messy…this burger was delicious! My wife’s Leroy’s Nachos were just as outstanding. Claiming, they’re the best she’s ever had! Super crispy and fresh ingredients and also full of flavor. The Queso Blanco was over the top delicious and not smothering the whole dish and hiding other flavors. They were doing some construction work and expanding outside of the dining area, so place didn’t look that fancy; but we weren’t looking for fancy anyway. Just wanted some fantastic food and we absolutely found it and LOVED IT! Thanks to the staff for answering all our questions about the menu and waiting checking on us regularly. We’d give 6 Stars if we could….keep up the fantastic work and we’ll see ya’ll next time...

My brother in law suggested we luncheon here. Being from out of town, we accepted the invitation. I was a bit skeptical on arriving to the location. The restaurant is small with order counter on the left end and a bar on the right. Several tables within. Immediately left of the door is posted the menu on the wall. It was recommended that I try the Leroy's smash burger. My eyes were drawn to the pork belly menudo, so I ordered this as well. My wife had the turkey sandwich. We also had chips with guacamole and salsa. The food arrived shortly. I smelled the menudo and tasted it right away... My mouth was in heaven. I don't know how the concoction was made, but I rejoiced at the genius!!! This is simply a twist on the traditional dish that I actually found to be much better!!! I can't say enough good things about it. But then I tried the burger. First off, it is large enough for two. Second, the flavor was astounding! The combination of ground brisket, American cheese, smash sauce, bacon onion jam all on a jalapeno cheddar sourdough bun... Top 2 sandwich I have ever tasted. And that is a lot of burgers and sandwiches to choose from! These two items alone merit being a repeat offender at Leroy's! I will never travel to this part of the state again, without stopping by to have these two items alone. I will let my wife try other things, as I will not miss out on this gastronomic perfection!
