Thought I would give this a try but it's not what I'm looking for in a pizza. I'm an authentic pizzeria type so this conveyor type of pizza does not suit me. Not my type of crust either, have no clue how they make t he crust.
Regarding the service though, I was truly baffled. I called and asked about delivery and the person stayed at least an hour to an hour and a half in this rainy weather. Okay, no problem, I'll come pick it up. Now here is where it gets baffling. He said it will still be 30 to 40 minutes, we wouldn't want anyone hurrying here in this weather. What!?!?. What does the weather have to do with how fast they can prepare a pizza. There was some thunder and lightning but the rain was light. Its not like it was a snow blizzard. Even if it was a snow blizard the place is 7 miles away and it's my business how I get there. Anyway, I asked how long would it take to make a pizza if I was there, he said, 15 to 20 minutes. Okay, make it and throw in a Greek salad please.
So I go there, it took me 10 minutes in the rain sprinkles, and say I'm here for my order. He checks and says, oh we need to cut lettuce for the salad. Yeah, okay. He said that will take us a while longer. Okay, cancel the salad.
They finished my pizza and I went on my way.
Like I said this pizza style is not my thing and i wond be returning because of that alone but if its yours thing go for it but dont be surprized if the strange service tries to talk you out of...
Read moreWe are from out of town for a baseball tournament late night hunger and not knowing the area we used doordash to find pizza places. We saw Marcos and ordered Marcos once when we were in FL and it was very tasty. So we picked Marcos. We order all meat pizza (no bacon) and a big cheese. When our order came we got our Big Cheese and a Hawaiian Pizza! We did not order a Hawaiian so I checked my receipt and it was correct on the receipt. So I called Marcos to see if they would fix my order being that it was not doordashes mistake, they arent allowed to open boxes they just pick up the orders. The gentleman told me we would have to fix it thru doordash but i told them its not doordashes mistake. Its yours. If i call doordash they wont redeliver they will only give us our money back, we don't want our money back we just want our pizza, we are starving. Its late we are hungry, we wont eat pizza with fruit on it. We just want our pizza. Nope he told me his manager told him they couldn't deliver the correct pizza because their delivery was already busy....wow just wow... So we all shared the cheese pizza, I cut the slices in half and we shared what we had. We took the Hawaiian pizza down to the pool and gave it to the other baseball players swimming, so it didn't go to waste. Certainly wont be recommending this place and wont be ordering from Marcos...
Read moreThe delivery driver, in addition to my 2.99 delivery charge, i intended to offer a tip of 2 or 3 dollars, which i felt was generous enough for a 5 minute drive. The driver refused to accept and insisted he had no change for my 2 - $20 bills, and forced me to accept giving the 9.79 tip to hand over the pizza.
When I worked delivery for pizza places some years ago, we were required to carry proper change to be able to handle cash purchases whether there was tip involved or not. The customer should not have to go to the bank to make change, especially on a delivery order.
I am not likely to order from here again unless something is done to make this right. Absolutely unethical way of doing business.
Didnt even have Parmesan or Red Pepper with him, just to put icing on the rotten cake.
UPDATE: Management quickly contacted me to apologize and make restitution on this matter, stated that the driver in question received some admin action, and that also the shift management appears to have actually failed to supply their change bank. They fully took ownership of the failure, and made an honest effort to make things right. My rating has also been updated from a 1/5 to a 4/5 for management's willingness to make rapid contact and take ownership of...
