Moonshine Hill Saloon — Restaurant in Texas

At one point, I was a regular at this bar. Would come in sometimes 2-3 times a week, and I never missed karaoke. Adam and his partner were friendly and cool...at the beginning.

Then the violence started. People were over-served, or, were allowed to drink when they came in already intoxicated. I witnessed THREE aggravated assaults, one involving a son trying to strike another patron, and ended up causing his own mother to be thrown from her barstool, rendering her unconscious. The bar managers and bartender did NOTHING. When I told Adam, the manager, I was going to call an ambulance for the woman, who still laid unconscious on the floor, Adam threw a stern look at me and said, in a rather menacing way, “Don’t you call the cops on my bar”.

Two other incidents happened over the next few months. Again, no cops, no ambulance, no one was kicked out of the bar!

Finally, the last straw came from the karaoke hostess...can’t remember her name...Rubenesque blond woman, with a thug, 6'3” drunken bully for a husband. I approached the manager of Moonshine Saloon, and asked if I could take over karaoke because I was dissatisfied with the current hostess. The manager decided to tell the hostess and her thug husband of this conversation. As a direct result of the managers lack of discretion, I found myself being choked in the bathroom, held in place by the hosts giant, toxic husband. He was allowed to go back to his seat, and continue to drink. Bartender didn’t call cops, managers didn’t kick him out.

Be VERY wary of this bar. Patrons are over-served, violence isn’t reported, food handling standards are NONEXISTENT (where’s your hand washing sink?), and above all, the management, Adam and his partner, refuse to protect their patrons, instead allowing a sort of Wild West approach to running...

Moonshine Hill Saloon😁. A wonderful down to earth establishment💯. I met so many great people on the night of my visit, the best part is Karaoke is Fridays through Sunday. Drinks are affordable. The owner is an amazing woman and I had the pleasure to meet her. Everyone was so friendly and kind with that hospitable manor. I recommend visiting and experiencing the environment for yourself. Tried this little bar for the first and last time. Heard it was a historic bar. Drinks are very expensive. Horrible online karaoke and sounds terrible. The heavy set woman that runs the karaoke is unfriendly and is more concerned about puting on her own concert than letting the customers sing. Only one bartender working and she spent more time talking and smoking than working. Not...
