Oasis of Pittsburg — Restaurant in Texas

I have visited several times for bait and breakfast. The Perez family took over the store and have been very committed to make it succeed. This time I decided to stay over night and to rent a cabin which is a rock throw from the state park. First, was the best bargain for a place to stay the night and be up bright and early and be right at the lake. Secondly, they made sure to walk me down to the cabin and make sure I had the one I preferred. All are near each other and in a very quiet setting by the natural pond. Third, walking in was the kicker because you couldn’t instantly smell the cleanliness in the air. No muggy smell at all. Lastly, there was convenient parking and outside outlet to park and plug in my boat. Everything was fantastic and stress free. I can’t forget, I arrived at 7:30am and was able to check in and get my key. No waiting until after 12 or 1 like the average high dollar places. I will definitely be returning and...

Just really the worst food I’ve ever purchased. I got the fish tacos, grilled, and the hamburger steak. I don’t know if there actually was any fish in the tacos. At the very bottom of the tortilla there was a mashed up matter that looked like maybe tuna salad or cat food. Awful. The “hamburger steak” was just two premade burger patties drowned in very thick brown gravy. Also awful. No way you could eat inside bc the tv was large and loud and broadcasting a political rally. I was travelling and was starving. I saw the restaurant and decided to stop for some local food. The atmosphere feels like walking into a crackhouse. But hey the food might be different ? The food was plain and greasy. Their burgers feels like a heart attack. I don't think they clean off the grill as it should. They cook everything on the grill without cleaning it well.
