this used to be my go to place for tacos and it’s not the same anymore the counter girl whether I go inside or go to the drive-through, they are never happy or smiling or look like they want to take your order. I do try to stop in time to time to see if maybe things have changed. I went in today , 2 tacos for $9.95 …then spider eggs looking at me in the window as I’m waiting for my tacos — like come on ladies let’s dust who wants to look at spider eggs while you’re fixing to eat a taco. For $9.95, I would’ve taken my two tacos and killed a spider & eggs & dusted the window !!! ADDENDUM TO ORIGINAL POST: It disturbs me how the owner responded to my post stating “WE LAUGHED ABOUT IT”… laughed at the price or the spider nest? Because I did no such laughing while I was there. The only time I spoke it opened my mouth was when I ordered my tacos.I then sat and played on my phone ,saw nest , got tacos and left. Owner shouldn’t lie about what’s REALLY going on to make me seem like the bad one!

They say first impressions are important, and I agree. First time stopping here and the last. 20 minutes in the drive-thru when you're the only car is unacceptable. I don't care that the excuse was they had 2 tables with 10 people each. That was poor management in the kitchen when my order was only 4 tacos. Then there were the tacos. The Bacon and egg and the Bean and Cheese were ok except for the amount of salt. Way too much. What was supposed to be have been a Country and Bean was actually a Breakfast Sausage and Bean. Also, over salted. The Carne Guisada? It's hard to find the words on this one. The meat was shredded. Like Barbacoa. It was wet but no gravy. It had a completely different taste from any Carne Guisada I have ever eaten. And I've had many. I will say it didn't taste bad, but again had way too much salt. The tortillas were very thick. The servers at the window were very friendly. That was the only plus in this situation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pica Taco in McQueeney is a gem! The food is hot, fresh, and made to order. My mom, fresh out of the hospital, couldn’t have spicy food, and they customized a bistek taco, chopping it up tender just for her. The service was lightning-fast, and the staff was incredibly friendly—our server even laughed at a meme my mom showed her! The outdoor deck is stunning, with lush greenery and beautiful decor that makes you feel like you’re in a secluded oasis. Inside, it’s spotless, and the vibe is welcoming. The cook personally checked on us, and the fresh tortillas were a highlight. Amazing prices and top-notch service make this our go-to spot. We’ll be back again and again!

I stopped by on my way to work to order 6 breakfast tacos this morning because my boss had clued me into this place. The food was excellent, but the service was SO AWFUL that I will likely never go back.

I arrived at 8:47 with no one in line for drive thru, no one asking for orders to go, and very few seated customers. I ordered 8 breakfast tacos and expected to wait maybe 10 minutes.

I watched 3-4 cars pass through the drive thru and exit, but still no food. I inquired about status, and waas told that they were backed up with phone orders. I waited and stewed. After 25 minutes, my food arrived. I had already told them that I found the wait time ridiculous, and they seemed completely unphased. I asked if I should have done drive through, and they shrugged and said, "its Friday, so lots of call-in orders. You have a nice day!" Not an ounce of sympathy or apology. And that was from what I think was the manager. I took my order and told them that I'd probably never be back, and there was no real response.

Maybe I'll return and try drive thru - the food was great. But to see such disdain for a frustrated first-time customer is just remarkable.

Shame on your manager, Pica Taco! I long for that time, pre-Covid, where service businesses sometimes gave a crap...
