Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Texas

I usually don't make reviews on large fast food chain restaurants. However, today, I am making an exception. I had little time for lunch and decided to stop at Popeye's since it was an off day, and there was nobody in line.

I wanted something light, so I looked for the kids' meals. There were none on the menu board, so I had to ask. Even with no line, I waited several minutes, so I had plenty of time to make sure I didn't miss it. I was informed that it only came with 1 chicken tender, but that was it. No question of drink or making sure fries were ok on the side, etc. They did not ask because they did not give me fries.

I asked at the window for a cup of ice water since I was not asked about a drink and was told they don't sell cups of water and had no ice. Luckily, I had a drink in my car, so I pulled off thinking my 1 tender and fries would be ok. But, as you can see, I got a small apple juice and applesauce. All for $5.33, mind you.

I checked online to make sure I wasn't losing it, and online confirmed that kids' meals come with a small fry and small drink. I pulled around to have it corrected only to be told that's only what it says online, and that's not what they actually come with. I was asked if I wanted fries and was told it would cost me another almost $4.

I would like to give them 0 star, if I could. Worst customer service experience. Female Employee at front desk is rude and disrespectful. She refuse to serve water to the customers. Last week, they never posted a sign anywhere that lobby is closed, never said anything while I ordered the food about lobby is closed, but asked me to leave when I was eating my food. When I gave feedback to the owner of the place about those things, she came outside and started arguing with me about the feedback in an aggressive manner. Today, I went to this store and asked for water with my order, she wanted to charge me $2.49 for a cup of water. She said, they don't have an active guard on fountain drinking machines to check what drinks customers are getting. Therefore, she is charging $2.49 to everyone for the cup, even if you want to get water from the fountain drinking machines. She is not willing to serve you food, if you are not paying $2.49 for water. Please remember, they consider every customer ordering in lobby is a potential thief, who will steal their drinks from fountain drinking machines. Never saw a business treating their customers in this manner. The owner is nice and whenever he is there, he treats customers good , however whenever he is not there, his front desk employees start treating the customers the...

After a long day of working, I was headed home knowing there was a Popeyes near and could easily pick some food up before they closed at 11pm, by this time it was 10:15pm or so. Dine in is closed due to short manning too.. so I swing by the drive thru and they tell me they're only taking online orders.. okay. I drive 50 ft into the parking lot and order online. I swing back around and tell them I'm picking up an order and the women in charge that night said they don't have anymore chicken. They told me I have to cancel the order through the app. There was no way of canceling. It's not that they didn't have chicken. They just didn't want to cook it. She then proceeds to ask me if I wanna wait 30 minutes for my food.. umm yes. I already paid for it!

Overall terrible service. I get the idea that once you close you just wanna get up and leave.. but I was also there 45 minutes prior to closing so there was no excuse as to why I had to argue for chicken to be made. If you don't wanna work at a fast food/customer service job look for...
