Rock'n R BBQ — Restaurant in Texas

They are CROOKS and have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered chopped beef and 25 cooked baked potatoes from Rocking R BBQ for a party. I was quoted $100 for 25 potatoes. When my mom arrived to pick up the food they had not prepared the potatoes. They said, “the girl that made the order said she didn’t want the potatoes because they were too expensive .” I never said that once, I actually never even said anything about the price. Just a “great and thank you so much for being able to do that for me!” I ordered them and expected them for my party.

So they said if my mom waits for 30 minutes they could get 12 potatoes made. So we went for that since it was something. Well they ended up charging me $103 for 12 plain cooked potatoes. They are total crooks and have the worst customer service ever. I had friends tell me they have bad service when they go in and eat but I thought ordering it for a party I’d have better luck. I will never go there again and I will tell every patient that comes to my office to avoid them. If I could give them less than one...

Today I tried this place for the first time. I got several different items on the menu just to see how a variety of items tasted. I was in shock! The food was full of flavor and even though it offers many of the same items that other restaurants around do, this food was above and beyond any other place I have eaten in the area. The spaghetti was to absolutely die for. It is like that kind of spaghetti your great grandma could make but no one else can replicate it just right so you will never get to have it again. This one is just right and Made me so happy. The pulled pork: amazing! Wonderful! Wow! The gumbo... umm WOWWWW!!!!! Since I moved from Louisiana to Texas I have not once had a gumbo that came close to anywhere near acceptable in Louisiana terms but this one passed the test with flying colors. The food was fantastically delicious! I had the Daily Special of BBQ chicken and pulled pork, with baked beans and French fries ($12.00). Everything was tasty as could be. Portion size was good except for the fries, which was quite small.

The only negative that I have to mention in case someone needs to know - despite what the listing indicates, the restroom in no way meets disability requirements as you cannot even get a wheel chair in there much less be able to maneuver it around, and there are no access grab bars.
