Rockett Cafe & Club — Restaurant in Texas

If this was just a week ago I would have given 5stars! But unfortunately this past Saturday my family and I brought some friends that recently moved to the area to show them one of the places we enjoy! We were hyping it up all week; telling them how sweet the staff was and how good the food was! Well, we had a large-ish party of 8, so of course we knew we would not be seated as quickly as we normally would when it's just our 4 - no problem. We only waited maybe 15-20 minutes tops for that. Then we were seated and didn't even have our drink order taken for over 25 minutes. An older lady, who I can only assume was meant to be our server, came by 3 times to say "one moment" but never once formally greeted us. I asked the host if they knew who our server was and if they could send them over since we hadn't even had our drink order taken... she said she would take it. We got our drinks - still no one else came by. My son dang near finished his drink before my friend asked again, "Who is our server? We would like to order..." she went to speak to the lady who previously said "one moment" and she appeared to, allegedly, say,"I am not serving them. "... my husband and I have #1 never had her as a server prior to this day, 2 we always tip a MINIMUM of 20% (that is if service isn't great), and being a former service industry worker we ALWAYS go out of our way to be kind and patient with our servers - so for the life of me idk what exactly we did to be ignored. Another server, who we've had previously, came over and took good care of us... FINALLY. Our food was great as usual. Then at check out we asked for the bill to be split into our two families (yes we already asked the server to have it that way prior to check out or even us ordering but it wasn't so we had to ask at the counter). It was way more trouble than it should have been. Needless to say, it was a disappointment after raving about the place. We will be back because this is the only time it wasn't great. But if no speaks up for the not so great times, it can't be fixed. Ty to the beautiful young lady with the piercings who served us! As for the elder woman with short hair - I hope you have a...

I typically like to support a local business, but am shocked at what happened here tonight. This is, by far, the worst service and food that I have had in the Waxahachie area.

First, the waitress didn't even know we were there, and was less than pleasant when taking our order (seemed to be a huge inconvenience for her). I let it go, maybe she was having a rough night, I get it... We politely ordered some appetizers, drinks, and our meals... appetizers came out wrong. I wasn't too concerned, could have been an honest mistake, so I let it go. When our drinks arrived, mine came out tasting like syrup rather than soda. That's it, strike Three.

Our meal was served and even the other table was in shock looking at the incredible pile of fries on my wife's plate. We couldn't even see the rest of the food on her plate! It was absolutely ridiculous. We actually had to transfer the fries to two other plates so my wife could eat her meal. My steak was so rare that I couldn't finish it, it was absolutely terrible. Strike Four.

The waitress made one stop at our table and before we could finish chewing and politely answer her, she turned and walked away, but not before she deposited the ticket without saying a word about it. Strike FIVE.

Since the food was so bad, the service so terrible, and we could not address our concerns with the non existent waitress, we decided to go. As we approached the counter to pay, and the person completed our purchase, they turned to comment to another employee about those "mother f#$%^'s", blatant, unapologetic, incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. Maybe she was referring to the party of 15 due in at 7:30... WOW, STRIKE SIX!!.

But, being a good customer, I still left a tip. You certainly did not deserve it, but I know you still have responsibilities in your life that you need to take care of.

If there was less than one star, you would have earned it tonight.

I like the looks of this place but, service was terrible and food was meh. When we arrived two of the hostesses were outside and ended up opening the door for us. They didn't say a thing to us though. We went to the hostess stand and waited to be seated. The two hostesses were talking and there was a third woman that worked there standing behind bar drinking a glass of wine. They were all talking to each other not saying anything to us. The lady with wine glass walked by us to go sit at a table. I finally said something like hello. They looked at us like we materialized out of no where. They held the door open for us and acted like they had no idea. She giggled and said sorry. Our waitress was no better. She took out drink order and went ahead and took out food order because it took her so long to get to us we'd already decided. Salad came with meal but, it was white. Not a bit of green to the salad. When our food came out that was the last we every saw of her. Food tasted like school cafeteria food, just bland and tastless. I got fish and shrimp and it was definitely frozen and been frozen awhile. My wife got chopped beef and it was terrible she ate 2 or 3 bites. Waitress never came back. We had to just go up front to pay. Asked the hostess if we could get a tea to go. She said they had Togo cups, but no lids for them. Just seemed like she didn't want to get them for us. It's a cool looking place and we had high hopes. Everything was just plain crappy. I guarantee the only reason this place stays busy is because there isn't anything else around there. If you live out by this restaurant you're going to have to drive 15-20 minutes at least to get to anywhere else. Just plain...
