Sunrise Donuts and Kolaches — Restaurant in Texas

UPDATE: Been back to this place many times since last review. The chocolate donuts seem to have a sweeter taste which I like. The lady is always friendly! My kid likes the dinosaur donuts! This is our go to for donuts.

I've been here two times since they opened. While the owner is friendly, I wasn't too impressed with the donuts. The sausage and cheese in sweet bread (what folks from this part of TX call a kolache) tastes like every other donut place. The size of the donut seemed smaller compared to my normal place and a few cents more. I like chocolate iced donuts; Sunrise Donuts were not as sweet as I like. I like the convenience of the location to my house, but I prefer a different donut shop and will continue...

Our neighborhood went without a donut shop around us for a long time. (Except shipleys which is expensive:( ) so, we are really glad this place is here:):) we love this place!!! My favorite (besides the amazing donuts) are the breakfast sandwiches:) they taste amazing!! Not greasy and gross.the boudin kolaches are awesome and they come in spicy and not spicy:):) They have wonderful coffee, the place is always clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming:)

This newly opened shop was recommended to me and I have been very impressed. Besides all of the sweets, which are the best you will find, she has an incredible selection of breakfast items, all easy to eat on the run. Great stop to have a quick breakfast or lunch... donut and coffee. She is open everyday. I stopped by and picked up donuts and kolaches to bring into the office.
