I came to El Paso for the legendary Mexican food, but instead walked into one of the most unsettling vibes I’ve had before even ordering. On the single-stall bathroom door was a chaotic marker sign screaming “NO HOMBRES.” It was both disturbing and oddly comforting to see it before I ordered because I won’t support a business that openly discriminates based on political prejudice. How exactly does threatening anyone who doesn’t look feminine enough to the restaurant management make me feel safer using the bathroom as a woman? Like it or not, everyone has to use the restroom regardless of their appearance, and this sign shows how seriously controlling, and even potentially dangerous this attitude can be, where anyone who looks remotely masculine risks trouble. I went to a different place that was not only delicious, but kind and considerate towards their customers. It’s a bummer I couldn’t feel that level of...
Read moreWest Way,Texas, I for years in living in Anthony New Mexico/Texas, never realized this was an actual town/city. But it is (pretty cool, I think 😎). The main entrance off I-10 is landscaped with trucking truck stop fueling and semi trucks, and this is where you’ll find the way better than I expected Mexican great foods restaurant called, Tacos El Trokero aka The ⚠️ warning….parking extremely limited and hazardous due to extremely high level Semi Trucks and community during peak rush hours.so if you’ve never been here, zoom in on map app to better see exactly what you’re up against ⚠️ Trucker Tacos 🌮 I’d advise to google there menu and pictures in pre having a better idea of what you’ll be ordering, if it’s your first time, at least that’s what I did. Just a suggestion. Asada a la mexicana is what I ordered (I think I got that right) sorry if I worded wrong, But it was Delicioso👍with...
