First and last visit here that's for sure. The waitress was great. But my breakfast hash browns consisted of long black hair cooked into the hash browns. I stayed quiet as not to disturb the other patrons, but couldn't eat over half the food because the hair. I went to pay my bill and took the plate with over half the food uneaten to the counter and explained what I found and showed it to the cashier. She said she'd have to talk to the manager. So we waited for the manager to arrive and the cashier and manager walked back into the kitchen and had a discussion without involving me. Then the manager came forward to the counter and mentioned that there was no one cooking with that color hair. I could clearly see two employees of latin heritage cooking that have very long black hair. I said the hair was cooked into the hash browns and picked up with the fork to show her with the hair dangling off the hasbrowns. She looked at me with disgust and charged me for half a meal. Really? Never ever going back that's for sure. The manager either needs to take food service management classes or find a different career. I highly recommend the latter of the two and put some damn hair nets on the...

3/7/21 I was greeted warmly as I entered the Cafe. My waiter was fast, friendly, attentive, and accurate, while handling 3 parties seated simultaneously in his section.
I had the steak finger plate made in-house and hand battered then cooked to a perfect golden brown. It was served with Texas toast, gravy, crinkle-cut fries and green beans. The dinner salad appetizer consisted of iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. Adding some onion and a couple of slices of cucumber would certainly improve the weakest point of my meal. I also purchased a piece of homemade chocolate cake that I'm saving for later tonight.
2019: Small hole-in-the-wall diner in far south Lubbock. Service was fast, accurate, and friendly, but not attentive as I had to get up and walk to the counter for refills. I had a dinner salad, the regular (single patty) cheeseburger and fries. The burger was tasty with just the right amount of grease, although a little thin. The crinkle-cut fries were served in a separate basket and large enough to be shared by two people. Overall impression: good enough to try another menu item on a...
Read moreI've gone 2 times to this location for just a simple burger and tots, honestly the food both times has been bland and no salt on tots or fries, no mayo or mustard just the bare minimum on a burger. Buns are crusty but like they are stale before toasted, Burger meat itself is bland and when pulled out is dry and simular to school cafeteria style meat. No ketchup or seasoning in the bag. Not even a napkin on both occasions, I live close to this location and hoped for simular food quality to the other locations I've ate at. The worker is very polite but it does take a bit longer than other places witch is odd considering how little effort went into the food. I was hesitant to leave a review because I had hoped my situation was a fluke but even coming outside of peak times it was bad. Not that workers don't deserve to be paid its also almost 10 bucks for just a single patty thin burger tots and a drink here, I don't know where the money is going because it's not at all into...
