What the heck?? I looked at all the pictures of beautiful barbecue from all of your reviews and I decided I really needed to try this place. So, I visited at 2:00 p.m. on a Thursday. Maybe because it was past the prime lunch time but I didn't get anything like what I saw in the pictures. Take a look at mine. Everything was dry as a bone and oddly, very small. Tiny ribs, thin brisket - as if it came from a tiny cow. I can't quite figure out how I got what you see in my pictures and what everyone else got that I've seen in theirs. It's like it's two different places. In fact, they were so dry that it would have been tough to work through them, but they were saved by liberal application of their outstanding barbecue sauce. As with other reviewers, I found little to no smoke flavor, but at least the meats were cooked properly and very tender. However, you shouldn't have to depend on the sauce to enjoy good barbecue. For the sides, the coleslaw was quite ordinary but the potato salad was excellent. It's a tiny dining room - classic barbecue shed and kind of perfect. There was no visible restroom but wet wipes are on every table. Based on the very high ratings I may have caught them on and off day or maybe just too late to get moist meats. This is clearly a neighborhood favorite and the steady stream of diners and take out orders support that. Finding good barbecue in this part of town is tough, and based on what I was served I would not return. I would drive the extra 30 minutes and hit Bar A in Montgomery. That's a whole...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the BEST barbecue in Willis—maybe all of Texas!

Texas Barbecue off 8:30 is a hidden gem that deserves every bit of praise it gets—and then some. From the moment you pull up, you know you’re about to experience something special. It’s a small, no-frills place, but the flavor and quality are off the charts.

Let’s talk about the jalapeño chicken—it’s to die for. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, with just the right kick of heat. The brisket? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. I swear, if I could take home a truckload, I’d never leave my house again. Every bite is smoked to perfection, full of that rich, smoky depth you can only get from pitmasters who know what they’re doing.

The portions are generous, the sauce is next-level, and the service is just as warm as the food. Everyone here is friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and you can feel the love poured into every plate.

Be warned though—they’re not always open, and when they are, there’s usually a line out the door. And for good reason! This place sells out fast, so don’t sleep on it. Get there early, grab your spot in line, and prepare to be blown away.

Whether you’re a BBQ connoisseur or just someone who loves good food, this place is a must-visit. 10/10, no...

Zero Stars if possible. Placed a $195.00 order at 7am to pick up at noon for a business function. Drove an hour and a half and arrived a bit early to be told they are too busy and order is not done. And WONT be done by noon or even close. They had our phone and email and did not reach out to inform us of the delay so we could make other arrangements. Being this was for a business lunch, we had to scramble and find somewhere else and also push our meeting back. The incompetent guy (Chris M. is name on receipt) working the register didn’t offer an apology and acted like we were not even there trying to figure this out. Then when we did ask to be refunded, he was only going to refund the order amount and not the generous tip that was also left for them. We had to show our credit card statement and I literally had to walk him through his job on the register. He should absolutely not be employed. Whoever was working in the back, also did not come forward or offer any sort of apology or explanation or solution. We were told the owners are out of town when we asked to speak with one. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the quality of the food seeing how we received none of our order. But even the best food would not be worth this hassle and...

Doesn’t look like much from the outside. As a matter of fact you could miss it if not looking but we were looking! Had this place recommended and been wanting to try. Go early or call to make sure they haven’t run out. Didn’t disappoint at all. Food was amazing. Sliced beef and chicken plate was tender and smoked really well. Sauce was thick and sticky. Just the way I like it. Baked potato salad was delicious. Beans were pretty basic and didn’t care for Cole slaw. Even eating in everything was packed to go?? No sauce or beverages available for self serve. Despite those negatives I would 100% go again. Great food!! Hidden gem in Willis.
