God has blessed the, Texas Hill Country, with this rather hidden gem. The Ridge, really does feel like you've entered into the most nurturing, whimsical, delightful, creative place that surprises! Such craftsmanship with endless detail and delights to discover. My hubby and I have been many times and it's always like a brand new welcome mat, as their grounds and porch change with each season or holiday. The food, never dissapoints. The staff will make you feel like family. Order the chicken fried chicken with a loaded baked potato, salad, and don't forget dessert from their very own bakery. I never leave without a couple of loaves of the bread and they'll slice it if you'd like. The discount that comes with your meal receipt makes it a must to visit the charming gift shop! I'll leave it there, as I won't spoil any more of what there is to discover....just go! Live music on Friday and maybe Saturdays, too. Open on Sunday, too for gathering your family together! Like I said, this place pulls your soul back together and I'm so grateful to the folks who make this...
Read moreGranted the time at which we had come here was Mother's Day, the service was unforgivable. My family and I had ordered and waited in the heat for over an hour. Also, our server seemed to have an aggravated tone, whilst other servers around us seemed somewhat pleasant. We understand the heat and the busy day, but other than the time we ordered our drinks/meals, our server had come to check on us once in 1-1½ hours (this was when we had decided to leave, that's when he came to check on us). We then were offered a seating inside after placing our to-go order. Ended with a burnt to a gravel-like crunchy burger and stale fries, same with my brother except his was burnt and cold. I could excuse almost everything except the food. Burnt black on one side with no toppings either. If it takes you over an hour to cook my food there is no excuse, especially if it's a burger of all things. I do think the experience could have been better if it were any other day, but it wasn't. Arrived at 12:50pm, left around 4pm. Do...
Read moreThis is a Kerrville “hidden gem”. My wife and I have been RVing in Kerrville for over a month and just happened to stumble upon The Ridge Marketplace on our way to Fredericksburg, Texas via Harper, Texas on FM783. The food was phenomenal; service outstanding. Cornbread was so moist that no butter was necessary. Their Soup of the Day: Vegetable Bisque was rich, creamy and flavorful. The Pasta Primavera was scrumptious, and my wife’s dessert, Banana Pudding Cheesecake, was lighter than your typical cheesecake and to die for. Their bakery was icing on a masterful cake; offering numerous delicacies. After lunch, we bought blueberry cheese danish and pecan cinnamon rolls to have with our morning coffee the next day. Wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant; we will definitely be back before we...
