Kennebec River Brewery makes really good beers, many options, on site! I loved the Northbound Pale Ale. Customer service was very nice, and nachos were delicious, too. They sell growler and growler fills, too, if you dont have time to stay! The gift shop here is also good, including clothing, hats, beer glasses, and more!

We regularly travel from Australia to New England. This last trip we decided to drive up to Quebec City. Kennebec River Brewery was a perfect stop for a meal, beer and some ambiance. When we planned the drive we added the brewery as a stop and we were very happy with the choice...lovely people, great food :-)

Phenomenal staff, all enthusiastic and obviously happy to be working there. We had a great time and we'll go back again with a larger group for sure. Did water rafting, camped out for three nights and two days had a blast. Make sure you bring bug spray for the outdoors

Glad it was me. I give a lot of credit to people who work in the food industry. It's tough and unforgiving.

I want to start with the parking: Weird to have a campground/adventure park/ rental shop/ arcade/ bar+restaurant. But a money maker for sure. Had to park at the back, near campground and had no marked path to the restaurant. Had to walk through the back, across the patio, pool deck and through the bar to get a hostess.

Service: Lackluster. Seemed slightly new maybe poorly trained. We sat for 30mins before being asked about drinks. She told us the kitchen was backed up so we got an app (we didn't plan on). She never check up on us throughout our meal. Our food came out quickly which was a surprise. We then ate (15mins) and waited for our check (20+mins). Ended up approaching the hostess stand to process payment.

Food: I was very disappointed. I ordered a bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes and seasonal veg. The Meatloaf lacked seasoning. Seemed like a lower quality cut of beef (used in chili's) and had large chunks of red bell pepper. Mash had 0 flavor (normally should have salt and/or butter). Gravy was okay? Seemed like a packet gravy. Seasonal veg was green beans with 0 flavor. Had minced garlic and oil but no salt or butter again. The oil overpowered the garlic and it got lost.

Decor: Dusty plastic plants and hunting trophies. The dessert menu on the tables were dusty. Dead bugs in the windows and webbed. Had a couple black jacks (bees) near us. The relentless flies were tough as well. Could be better kept but hiring is tough right now.

We had fried mozz bites and they were wicked good! Marinara sauce was killer.

I would not go back but please don't let my experience deter you from exploring and trying new places! Atmosphere was cool inside with pool tables and bar. They also had a little gift shop. Staff was friendly...

Food was not bad, steak fries were very good. However service was awful, and the attitude that came with it. Hardly anybody in there, and lady said she’d be with us in a minute and dropped water off on the table.. one of the cups was very dirty which I didn’t even get a chance to tell her because she disappeared. She walked away and said she’d be back in a minute.. 30+ minutes later she came over and asked what we wanted. She didn’t even ask about beer.. soda.. nothing. When a soda was requested she seemed so annoyed. 20 minutes later the food came out, and the waitress never returned.. not even to ask how the food was, or about refills etc. When finally got her attention for a refill on drinks, she seemed so bothered that we had asked for refills. Had to get up to ask a gentleman about the bill to pay, as she disappeared again and mentioned to him I was dissatisfied with the service and as soon as our server walked up he turned around and walked away real quick to get out of the situation. When server said “oh i didn’t know you were ready for your bill you should’ve told me when I got your refill” i felt like saying you never even looked in our direction hardly the whole time we were there and treated us as if we were a bother that you had to be there to wait on us.. that is your job as a server.. I’ve been to plenty of places with bad service.. but this one takes the cake out in the middle of no where and the only place open up there on a Sunday I would’ve expected it to be good. We paid and left, will not be returning! DO...

This is a fantastic place. We were driving to Quebec from Portland and saw this place driving by. Made a U turn and came back. Glad we did. It was 9:30 on a Tuesday. In addition to being a restaurant and bar, it has an outdoor section, several patios, a hot tub and pool. They also have a gift shop and game room, pool table, they do raft trips and rent out ATV's, too!! Probably more, but I digress. The decor is upscale wood cabin. Furniture is heavy wood matching the walls and pillars. I began with a Penebscot Porter. A dark, robust beer that tastes of coffee and chocolate. Perfect breakfast drink! THE FOOD: I ordered a lobster omelette, which comes with home fries and toast. They also put a slice of kiwi and a strawberry on the side. This was one of my favorite omelettes of all time. All that Lobster flavor with cheese and mushroom. Loved it. The home fries were excellent. Toast good. My travel girl also had an omelette and said it was very good. She got a veggie stir fry in place of potatoes, and they were excellent. After eating we walked around and saw the tons of old pictures on the wall, the gift shop area, and outside area. Looked very cool. Probably a fun place at night...
