We had never heard of this place until driving through and finding it online. The reviews were really good so we thought we would try it out. We are so happy we did. The service was quick and friendly and it didn’t take long for our food to arrive. I’m sorry for not posting pictures but I just had to dig in. I ordered the Reuben w/chips and I swear there was almost an inch of corned beef on the sandwich. It was DELICIOUS and more than I could eat. (I’ll enjoy the rest tomorrow). My wife had the catfish sandwich which hung off the edges of the hoagie bun and was golden brown and crispy also with chips. My father had the catfish dinner with fries and a couple of hush puppies. We each had the catfish dinner, with okra, fries and coleslaw. This was the cleanest tasting fried food I think I have ever had. None of the flavors blended from over used oil, fries tasted like fries, fish tasted like fish and the okra was on point. The catfish is not little snack bites either, slabs! To add to the fantastic experience, the tarter sauce was home made and excellent. I wish we had gotten the name of our server, she has a challenger, but she was super nice, made sure we had everything we needed. We had an early dinner here recently and had a lovely time. I got the Reuben and my husband got the fried walleye. Reuben was loaded with meat and saurkraut, very healthy portion! Good marbled rye bread. It came with potato chips but I also added a side salad. I could only finish half of the sandwich! My husband approved of the walleye. Nicely fried and it was a substantial serving as well. He really loved the hushpuppies. He had never had them before and they were loaded with flavor. We got a slice of cherry and a slice of apple pie to go. They were just ok. The crust could be improved as it was not as flakey as we like. Great service by Bailey....
